In Paris at the castle, Gina is spying on John, Greta, and Eric from behind the wall. She can't see John's face, but recognizes his voice. Kurt tells Gina that she must get back to her room, but on the way there Gina remembers that she forgot to close the spy holes and doesn't want Eric and Greta to learned they were being watched. Kurt goes back to shut the spy holes, and John, who heard voices from behind the wall, comes extremely close to finding Gina in the hallway, but stops when he receives a phone call from the morgue. Gina eavesdrops and later asks Kurt what all this talk of a body is about? Kurt tells her that they are exhuming her grave. Gina thinks it will be empty, but then hears John mention a woman's body in the grave. She asks Kurt who Stefano buried in her grave? Kurt doesn't answer her, he just whisks her back to her room. Upstairs Gina thinks that once the autopsy proves she is not buried in the grave, Greta will know she is not dead. Kurt tells Gina that Stefano would not want her roaming around free, but Gina doesn't care what Stefano wants. Gina vows to take her life back and get revenge on Stefano. She looks at herself in the mirror and asks Kurt how he is at cutting hair? Meanwhile, downstairs John learns that Princess GIna is buried in the grave, they matched her dental records, and she died of natural causes. Greta is heartbroken.
Bo chases Gina/Hope until he catches her and asks if she ran away because of something Stefano said? Gina dodges the question, and Bo works on her some more. He tells her that he is not going to leave her until he knows she is safe. Gina smiles and tells him that she knows that. As they sit at a little bistro, Bo and Hope's song comes on over the radio. Gina asks how he did that, but Bo says he didn't. Bo asks her to dance, and as he holds her close, Gina has conflicting memories. She has memories of her times with John, but also of Hope's life with Bo. Bo tells Gina that he knows she is opening up and letting Hope out. GIna asks how he knows, and Bo tells her that he can feel their souls connecting. Gina smiles and says she feels it too.
Elsewhere, Stefano is worried about Gina, and Rolfe knows why. Rolfe knows that Stefano fears that now that Gina has lost John, she will go mad like the real Gina did. Stefano says yes, but he's also worried about Gina's growing fondness for Bo. Rolfe shows Stefano a CD which has "Hope Williams Brady's memories" printed on the cover and tells him that this is all that remains of Hope. He also has a CD for Bo as well, and starts working on their plans for Bo. Stefano is still concerned, and when they talk about the real GIna, Stefano is positive that the poor thing is probably mad by now. Later, Stefano decides to call Gina to find out when she gave Bo the potion and when they can meet her at the house.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Billie comes home and finds her mom sitting on the couch. Billie tells Kate about her night with Nicholas, which worries Kate. Billie assures her mom that she is still suspicious of Nicholas, but he is charming. She also wishes her mom would get out there and date. Kate says she is happy waiting for Victor to come home,but Billie says he may never come home. Kate tells her daughter "than I'll be happy knowing I loved a man like Victor and kept my vows, if they were legally married, to him."
At the townhouse, Vivian is quite upset that her nephew is dating Kate's trashy daughter. Nicholas says that Billie is classy, but Vivian says if her skirts were any shorter she could be arrested! Vivian tells Nicholas that he is supposed to be concentrating on Kate so she can work on Victor. Nicholas asks Vivian how she caused Victor's stroke, so she explains that her lawsuit to try and get custody of Phillip did it. She fears that Victor may never forgive her, but Nicholas is positive that he will because they both share a deep connection. Vivian just wishes there was a way to get him out of the nursing home.
At the gym, Austin is practicing his boxing. A guy at the gym says he can help Austin get back into the ring if his wife gives him the okay. Austin says that he no longer has a wife, he's getting a divorce. Carrie shows up and says that she hopes that last part isn't true. Carrie and Austin talk about his getting back into boxing. She understands why he wants to go back to boxing, she wants to go back to her job because she loves it as well. Carrie tells Austin that she came here with a proposition for him. Austin asks what kind of proposition? Carrie says she is going ahead with the charity boxing match for the hospital, and would like him to participate. Austin is suspicious of why she is doing this. Carrie says she is doing it for the hospital, and thinks it could make them friends again. Austin turns his back on her, so she says it was a stupid idea and goes to leave. However, Austin tells her not to go. Austin says that they have a lot to work through, but he's not ruling out the possibility of them becoming friends. Suddenly, Sami shows up and asks what is going on? Austin tells her about the charity boxing match, and he decides he's going to do it.
In Paris at the castle, Eric and John comfort Greta. John tells her that at least know the truth, Gina died of natural causes. Still, Greta is positive that her mother is alive and in this castle. John tells her that he knows how she feels. He says that she is in a castle surrounded by her mother's things and her memories, and those memories will help her heal. Greta thanks John for being here for her. John decides to look around the place, and tells them not to wait up. Greta tells Eric that she knows she needs to get over her mother's death, but she can't seem to let her go. Later, Eric makes them some tea and brings some cupcakes he stole from the cupboard. On the cupcakes are the letter G, and Greta gasps when she sees them. Greta says that these are her mother's favorite tea cakes, only her mother and Grandmother knew the recipe. She eats one and she remembers having these and tea with her mother when she was younger. Later, Greta decides to sell this castle and everything in it. Eric tells her that she can't do that, she should wait until she calms down a bit. Greta says he is right and thanks him. Eric says he owes her thanks for helping him get over Nicole.
In her room, Gina tells Kurt that she will reclaim her life and daughter, and Kurt will help her. Kurt says it is not wise . . ., but Gina says what he thinks is wise is agony to her. Gina demands Kurt to take her to the Duke and Duchess' party. Kurt says he cannot allow that. Gina tells him that he is just as much a prisoner in this castle as she is. She tells him that they can make Stefano pay for what he has done to them. Kurt says that Stefano is keeping her here for her protection, but Gina says that is rubbish. She says that when Stefano had no use for her, he hid her away. Kurt is confused and asks what she did for him? Gina says she was his art dealer, so to speak. She tells him that she and John used to relieve artworks for Stefano from their collectors. Gina tells Kurt how she and John were wonderful together, and it was inevitable that they fell in love. She tells him about their plans to take Greta and escape to their secret place. Kurt asks why they just didn't stop working for John? Gina tells him that Stefano controlled John, but she won his heart and soul. She tells Kurt that after John was taken away, she was broken and could not function. She even sent her daughter to boarding school because she couldn't be a mother to her. She says that Stefano told her that he could cure her depression at Maison Blanche, but instead she was banished to this place. She says that John must be dead, and Stefano must pay for what he has done. She begs Kurt to help her get her revenge. Kurt says that Stefano never loses, but Gina says that is an old wives tale. Gina knows she can beat Stefano, and asks Kurt to think about the freedom he will gain. Gina is also curious about the Duke and Duchess party, is it a memorial for her? Kurt says perhaps they will get the answers there, he will take her. Gina leaps into his arms and thanks him. Gina wonders what assassins where to a ball, for that is why she is going, to kill Stefano!
John explores the castle and visits Gina's bedroom. He looks at her portrait above the fireplace and remembers dancing with her. He thinks he can finally close the door to his past forever. He then remembers Marlena giving him a new wedding ring in Hawaii. John pulls out his cell phone and calls his wife. Right after he hangs up, John runs into Kurt. John introduces himself as John Black, and Kurt is stunned. John wants to talk, but Kurt says he has something important to do and leaves. Kurt says that John has finally come for the Princess. Back in the room, John wonders what that was all about.
Gina/Hope and Bo are still dancing. Bo tells her that he knows Hope is inside of her, he can see the love in her eyes when she looked at the photo of Shawn D. Bo urges Hope to let go of Gina and fight her way back to him. Gina tells Bo that Hope is not coming back and he has to accept that. Gina tells Bo it is too late, but Bo says it isn't. He tells her that Stefano has convinced her that she has to be Gina, but their is nothing glamorous or right about this. Bo says that she is clinging to a past that will destroy her, and if she doesn't let go of it she will go mad just like the real Princess Gina. Gina gets up to leave, but Bo grabs her and puts his arms around her. He says he will not lose her again. Gina says she is so scared and is in tears. Bo tells her that she belongs with him. Bo tells Hope that he could feel that she wanted to live with love, not in fear. He tells her that together they can destroy DiMera, DiMera cannot hurt her. Gina remembers Stefano telling her that if she didn't drug Bo, he could make her totally loyal and obedient. A frightened Gina runs away from Bo.
At the lab, Stefano is worried that Gina is still not at home. Rolfe suggests that maybe she took Bo out for a nightcap to drug him. Stefano calls Gina again, but there is no answer. He decides to call Bo Brady's room, but he is not their either. Gina shows up later and tells them that she gave Bo the potion and he became violently ill, Rolfe must have made a mistake. Stefano wonders if her family reunion has soften her up? Gina says Doug and Julie had no effect on her whatsoever. Rolfe comes up with an antidote for Gina to give to Bo. Stefano tells Gina to stay right here, and leaves. Rolfe tells Gina that if she is lying to protect Bo, her fate is sealed! Gina says that her fate was sealed when they transformed her back into Gina. She says that she could go mad just like the real Gina, but she will destroy him and Stefano first! GIna leaves the lab, leaving Rolfe worried.
Gina returns home and finds Stefano waiting for her there. When she gets inside she sees Bo sleeping on the couch, and wonders what Stefano has done to him. She asks him what he has done to Bo? A doctor shows up and says she has given Bo medication for the nausea. The doctor leaves and Stefano tells Gina that the potion had an adverse effect on Bo, and he apologizes for mistrusting her. Gina tells him not to worry and says good-night. Stefano leaves, but he smiles outside. Gina runs to Bo's side, and he wakes up. Bo says he is fine, he faked the whole thing. He even hired the doctor to help him. Gina asks how he knew? Bo says that he followed her to DiMera's place and heard everything. Gina thanks Bo for saving her life. Bo tells her that she risked her life for her love of him. Bo touches her cheek, and Gina takes his hand and kisses it. Gina then breaks into tears in his arms.
Vivian shows up at the nursing home to see Victor. She knocks on his door, and he tells her to come in. Victor is not pleased to see her, he is in a very bad mood. She asks if everything is all right? Victor tells her that he feels like killing someone! Vivian hopes he doesn't want to kill her, even though he should. Victor is upset because he feels that he is ready to go home, but the doctors say no. Vivian says to hell with traditional medicine and asks him if she can call Dr. Wu for him. Victor says he needs top quality medical care, not VooDoo. Victor asks Vivian why she came here today? Vivian says to catch him up on business, but Victor asks again why she really came. Vivian is glad that he is willing to spend some time with her, despite everything she did. Vivian sees the photo of her, Nikki, and him, and thinks he still cares. Victor tells Vivian that Nicholas brought the photo. Vivian wonders why he would do that? Victor tells her that he thought it would inspire him. Vivian looks at the photo and says despite of his parents' influence, Nikki grew up to be very wonderful. Victor tells her that she gave Nicholas a strong foundation to build on. Still, Vivian is touched that he decided not to throw it out. A nurse comes for Victor's PT, so Vivian excuses herself. Outside his room, Vivian thinks her plan is working like a charm. Vivian calls Nicholas and asks him to stretch his meeting with Kate out, she needs more time with Victor. She says because she put Victor in that chair, she wants to help him get out. Nicholas tells his Aunt that they will get everything they want, and controlling Titan will be the jewel in the crown. Vivian returns to Victor after he has changed into a sweat suit. Vivian tells Victor that his hard work will payoff soon, he will be out of here in no time.
At that gym, Roman finds Austin working out on the bench. Austin asks Roman what he wanted to see him about? He says if this is about Carrie, it's nobody business. Roman says last time he checked he was still Carrie's dad. Austin puts it another way, he never had any use for him as a son in law, so why should he care about his advice? Roman tells Austin that he is not here to give advice, he is just worried about his daughter now that Mike is gone. Roman says maybe now that Mike is out of the picture, but Austin interrupts and says Mike isn't out of Carrie's heart. Roman asks "What if that is not true?" Austin tells Roman that it is over, he should know from his experience with MArlena. Roman says that if he had known better he would have continued to fight for Marlena. Austin says the only thing he can do right now is let go of his feelings for Carrie and get on with his life. Roman asks "with Sami?" Austin says that he and Sami are just friends, nothing more. ROman tells Austin that while he is mending his broken heart, Sami is about to get hers busted, and he won't let Sami get hurt. Austin says he would never hurt Sami. Roman asks Austin if he loves Sami, but Austin doesn't answer. He asks if he still loves Carrie, but still Austin doesn't answer. However, Austin promises he won't hurt Sami. Roman tells him that hurting Sami would be very bad. Austin says that the only two things important to him right now are fighting and moving on without Carrie.
At the hospital, Lexie is showing Brandon around when Carrie shows up. Lexie is excited to have Carrie back at work. Carrie asks how things have been around here? Lexie says they have been different, Mike set very high standards as chief of staff. When Craig and Nancy step off the elevator, Lexie decides to make herself scarce. Nancy and Craig approach Carre, and Nancy asks Carrie if she has heard from Mike? Carrie says no. When Nancy says she still wants to be here friend, Carrie says she's decided not to get chummy with co-workers from now on. Craig says that would be former co-workers. Carrie says the board offered her job back, and she has accepted. She hopes that won't be a problem, and Nancy asks why it would be? Carrie tells them that she still suspects Ali had help bringing Mike down, so as she is working she will be keeping an eye on Mr. and Mrs. Chief of Staff. Craig says he never wanted this job at Mike's expense. A nurse tells Carrie that she has a call, and calls her Mrs. Reed. Nancy can't believe Carrie is still using her married name. Carrie says the divorce won't be final for a few weeks. Carrie leaves to answer her call, and Craig chews Lexie out for making a notation on a patients chart. Lexie doesn't understand what is wrong with the notation, which Craig says could cost her her career. Craig says that she wrote "see me re dosage," he specifically sent out a memo last week that all instructions for the nursing staff be written out. Lexie says that Mike believed the doctors communicate face to face with nurses. Craig says Mike is no longer around and she is to follow his rules now! He says if she finds that difficult to handle she should work elsewhere. Craig walks off, leaving Lexie infuriated. Later, Lexie explains the schedule to Brandon, but she's still distracted thanks to Craig. Brandon saw the whole thing and doesn't think very highly of Dr. Wesely. Lexie says they have to find a way to make things work Craig's way. BRandon asks "what if you can't, could you really lose your job?" The next time we see Lexie and Brandon they are talking with a young man named Trevor about having exploratory surgery done. Trevor doesn't want to have the surgery, but Brandon talks him into it. After Trevor goes to his room, they return to the original conversation. Lexie tells Brandon that Mike wanted her on permanent staff, but with Craig in charge she'll be lucky to finish her residency here. Later, Lexie gives Craig the changes he requested to the form.
Carrie can't get any work done in her office because Nancy is having Craig's office redecorated, people are hammering very loudly. Carrie asks how long this racket will go on? Nancy's decorator says only when perfection is achieved! Carrie decides to take a break. Craig shows up and tells Nancy that her painters are painting awfully loud. Nancy says it will be worth it. Craig needs to go in his office, but Nancy stops him and tells him he can't go in. Craig asks his wife what she is up to? Nancy tells him the paint is still wet, but Craig says that doesn't explain the hammering. Nancy makes up a new type of painting, banging, it leaves the walls looking tough and masculine. Craig says he still needs some papers from his desk, so Nancy goes in to get the papers and returns with them. She promises him that he can see his office soon.
Belle is at the Java Cafe telling her sister Sami about her first day at school and who her teachers are. Belle doesn't think anything she is learning about is relevant to her life. Sami says she thought that when she was young, but now she knows that history repeats itself. Belle thinks she is talking about her war with Carrie over Austin, and assures her sister that they would never get into a fight over a man. Sami tells Belle how Carrie is after Austin to participate in a charity boxing match for the hospital. Belle asks Sami if Carrie goes after Austin again, will there be war? Sami says that there will be no war, but does admit that it will take Austin awhile to get over Carrie. Still, Belle says Carrie may get her hooks back into Austin before she (Sami) can get him to fall in love with her. Sami is positive Austin and Carrie will never be a couple again, but they still have feelings for one another. She also tells Belle that she and Austin are just friends. She says while she'd like there to be something more, you can't make someone love you. Sami changes the topic to Belle and the mature guy she likes. Sami knows her sister has a crush, but won't tell her on who. Belle says when it becomes real, she'll be the first to know. Carrie shows up, and Belle leaves to start her first day of work at the hospital. Carrie decides to leave, but Sami asks her not to go because she wants to talk about Austin. Sami tells her that she and Austin will be spending a lot of time together because of the charity boxing match and she doesn't think she and Austin should be spending time alone. Carrie accuses Sami of being jealous and acting like Austin's girlfriend. Sami says she knows that she's not Austin's girlfriend, so Carrie tells her to stop acting like she is his girlfriend. Sami tells Carrie to leave Austin alone so he can get over her, but Carrie thinks Austin is over her. Sami says she and Austin will be spending a lot of time alone together, and one thing could lead to another. Carrie says she is not going after Austin, does she have to sign it in blood. Sami gives her sister the evil eye and warns her that if she makes one move on Austin she will answer to her!
Belle shows up at the hospital and tells Nancy that she is the answer to her prayers. They talk about her volunteering, Nancy has assigned her to post-op, but Belle says she has to be in the pediatrics ward. When Nancy says no can do, Belle tells Nancy how her father pours a lot of money into this hospital, and she has a lot of control over who her father donates money to. Belle implies she can make her dad throw a lot of money her way. Nancy tells Belle that she speaks her language, and welcomes her aboard. Later, Belle rushes to find Brandon and tells him that they'll be working together. Brandon really could care less because his mind and eyes are on Lexie.
Craig talks with Nancy later and tells her that if Lexie doesn't get her act together, she'll have to get another job.
In the park, Sami and Austin are playing with Will. They picked Will up from preschool. While Will was fine with the whole school thing, Sami tells Austin that she was a wreck and couldn't have gotten through it without him. Austin assures Sami that he'll be there for all the special moments in Will's life. As Will plays soccer, Austin tells Sami that he has a surprise for her to commemorate Will's first day at school. Sami says she doesn't want to rush this, Will is growing up so fast. Austin tells her that she'll like this surprise, it will reassure her that they will always be a family. Sami smiles and thinks she knows what the surprise is. Austin decides to reveal his surprise, and pulls a ring out of his pocket. Austin tells Sami that he realizes she is the one he loved all along, he wants to marry her and get custody of Will from Lucas. He asks Sami to marry him, and she says yes. Of course it never happened, the entire thing was a dream of Sami's. Austin's real surprise is a family photograph, he hired a photographer to take pictures of them. Sami says that is a wonderful idea as holds back her tears. They pose for a picture, and then have many other photos taken of the three of them joking around. Sami thanks Austin for the surprise and says she'll never forget it. As they eat lunch, Carrie spies on them from the bushes.
In Paris at the castle, John comes down to see Eric. Eric asks how he slept? John says nothing went bump in the night, but it was a creepy experience. He tells Eric that this castle certainly holds a lot of secrets. As John looks at the map of the castle, Eric wonders if the castles secrets have anything to do with his past with Gina? Meanwhile, Kurt spies on John and Eric from behind the wall. Kurt wonders if John has come for Princess GIna. John tells Eric that he doesn't care about his past, but Eric can't help but wonder if being here makes him curious. John says that everything he did and felt back then was programmed by Stefano, and the love he felt for Gina is nothing compared to how he feels for Marlena. John says all he feels for Gina now is sadness.
In her room, Greta looks at herself in the mirror, she is wearing a diamond necklace and a black gown. Greta wonders why she feels her mother's presence here when her mother is dead. The phone rings, it is Bo calling. Greta says she has news about her mother, and Bo says he has news about Hope. Greta tells Bo about her mother, and how angry she is at Stefano for making Hope think she is her mother. Bo says that won't be the case any longer, his creation has broken free and is turning against him. Bo asks Greta if she is going to the ball tonight, and she says yes. Bo has something to ask her, but it won't be easy. Later, Greta runs into Kurt in the hall, he is carrying a tray with food, flowers, and hand cream. Kurt says they are all for him, his hands get very dry. Kurt notices she is wearing one of her mother's dress and says he reminds her of her mother, from the pictures he's seen. Kurt asks why John is here, so Greta says he only came to find out the truth about Gina. Greta says they have put the past behind them, and will probably be leaving soon. Kurt says he will take care of the castle. Greta doubts she will be keeping the castle and warns Kurt that he may want to look for another job. Before she lets Kurt go, she asks where his room is? He tells her that it is at the far end of the corridor, and then leaves. Kurt goes around the corner, and into the secret passage. Greta follows him, but when she turns the corner he is gone. She wonders where Kurt went?
Up in her room, Gina stares out the window and wonders why there is a memorial ball being given in her honor, why now? She wonders if perhaps it has something to do with Greta being here. Gina hits a table and damns Stefano for what he has done to her. Kurt shows up with her food. Gina is ranting about the ball and how she prays Stefano is there. Kurt tells her that she may not have to go to the ball at all. Kurt says that he knows she's been waiting for John to return to her, but Gina says that she knows now John is not coming because he is dead. Kurt says "What if John isn't dead?" Gina says then she would give antything to be back with him, she would kill to have John back. Kurt tells Gina to put on some make-up and hand cream, he will go pick out a dress for her. Gina says it is far too early for the ball. Kurt tells her that he wants her to look lovely for her surprise. After Kurt leaves, Gina wonders what her surprise is all about. Meanwhile, Kurt goes through Gina's wardrobe and picks a dress out for her to wear when she meets John.
Downstairs, Greta greets John and Eric, who are stunned by her elegant appearance. John tells her that she looks exactly like her mother. Greta says her mother is alive in her, and she wants to make sure she always is. Gina then assures them that she is not crazy, they were looking at her oddly. Greta tells them that she doesn't know what she will do with the castle after they return home. Eric leaves to get the deed to show John, and Greta tells John she can't help but wonder what would have happened if Stefano did not take him from her mother. John hugs her and tells her that he will always be there for her. Greta thanks John for going to this party, it is in her mother's honor. John says it is not for her mother, it is for an imposter. Greta knows that and says Bo has asked her to go all out tonight and play Gina's daughter to the fullest. Eric goes up to Greta's room, and finds Kurt going through her wardrobe.
In the lab, Stefano is sipping his tea as he paces around. Bart shows up out of the blue and asks Stefano if something is wrong? Bo tells him in light of what happened last night he has to re-think his plans for Bo and Gina. Bart and Stefano discuss Gina's stealing the Rennet at the party. Bart has researched everything, and Stefano thinks Gina will be able to steal the painting without a problem. Bart says that Rolfe is doubting Gina's loyalty. Stefano says Rolfe shouldn't be firing off his mouth. Stefano assures Bart that Gina's loyalty is not in question, but he is worried about her mental state. BArt asks why? Stefano tells him about GIna's little double-cross. He goes on and says when he took John away from the real GIna, she went mad. Now that he has taken John from this Gina, he fears history may repeat itself. Bart asks if he is transforming Bo into a new pawn to give Gina a new partner? Stefano says that was the idea, but Bo's transformation has been put on hold. However, he won't let Bo get in the way of Gina stealing the last Rennet. Bart asks what will happen afterwards? Stefano says Bo will return to Salem and live his life without his beloved Hope, because Gina will disappear. Bart thinks Stefano plans to pick up his life with Gina. Stefano says after he gets the last Rennet, Gina will be expendable.
At the Paris house, Gina/Hope thinks about how she and Bo fooled DiMera. Gina can't believe the risk Bo took for her, and God knows what Stefano will do if he found out she lied. Gina tells herself that she only has one last thing to do for Steffie, steal the last Rennet. She wonders if she can do that? Gina looks in the mirror and a voice says "you will if you value your life!" Gina asks her voice which life is she talking about, Hope's or Gina's? Gina tells herself not to lose it now, she is Gina! She remembers flashbacks from Gina's life, and tells herself that is the life she wants. However, she also remembers how much fun she had with Bo, Doug, and Julie. She yells "No, I can't take this anymore!" When she turns around, she finds a puzzled Bo standing there. He asks his Fancy Face if she is okay? Gina hugs Bo and thanks God he is here. Bo assures her that he will never leave her. He also says it is important that DiMera never find out what she did last night. Gina tells "Brady" that he saved her last night. Bo wishes he could have saved her all those years ago when he first lost her. Gina tells Bo that she has to make a confession. Bo asks what, and she just hugs him. Bo asks her what she wants to tell him? Gina says "just that I would do anything for you too." Bo knows that, she proved it when she didn't drug him last night. Bo jokes that he hasn't liked being drugged by her the last few times. Gina says she didn't have a choice, and that Stefano thought he was doing her a favor. Bo tells Gina that she has to keep playing this role until he can get the goods on Stefano and nail him. Bo tells her that she'll have to steal the Rennet tonight.
