Hope shows up at the Paris airport and begs to be admitted onto the plane. The french pilots allow her to fly on the cargo plane for five hundred franks. Hope says her purse has been stolen and she can pay them back when she gets to her destination. The man at the airport says there is nothing he can do for her then. Later, Hope calls Bo, but only gets the machine. She hears the plane starting up and begs to be allowed on the plane. When they tell her no, she apologizes for bothering them. She sees they all have their backs turned to her, so she makes a break for it. Unfortunately the police soon start chasing her and catch her, but she manages to get away once again.
On the Fancy Face II, New Gina (Gina pretending to be Hope) tells Kurt, via the phone, that she can't explain what she is doing, he should just keep Hope prisoner. When she asks about Hope, Kurt tells her not to worry about her. After hanging up, Gina admires the work her doctor did. The phone ring and the answering machine clicks on. Gina is shocked to hear Hope asking Bo to pick up the phone. Hope says she is at a country airport near the castle and needs his help. She says she'll try again later, and hangs up. Gina calls Kurt and blasts him for lying to her about Hope! She tells him where Hope is and tells her to go get her now!
At the hospital, Austin is brought in for surgery. Lexie wants to assist, and Craig agrees, but only because no other surgeons are on call. Billie and Kate show up, as does Sami and Carrie. Marlena goes to see Sami and Carrie, and tells them to stop fighting. Marlena tells them there will be no bickering, blaming, accusations, and pettiness here tonight. Belle tells Phillip that she is sorry about his brother, and that Brandon must be feeling awful. Phillip can't believe she is thinking about Brandon. Nicole shows up and Belle asks where Brandon is, she is so worried about him. Sami hears this and asks Belle how she can be concerned about that animal? Marlena tells Sami once again, there will be no bickering. Marlena leaves, and Belle doesn't understand what happened, Brandon is such a nice guy. Phillip tells Belle that Brandon tried to kill his brother! in the OR, Lexie and Craig are scrubbing in, and Marlena shows up in scrubs as well. A man brings them the x-rays of Austin's head, he has a subdermal hematoma (sp ?) and could die if they don't repair it in time. Marlena goes out to tell everyone that Austin has to be taken to surgery, and it is to soon to tell what Austin's prognosis is. Sami realizes that her mom is saying that there is a chance that Austin could die. Sami then gives her sister a hateful glare. Billie brings everyone some coffee, and Kate yanks her aside and asks to put their differences aside to concentrate on their love for Austin. Billie tells her mom that she never loved any of her children, she controls them. Billie thanks God that at least she and Austin have each other.
In the OR, Lexie and Craig begin the operation. Meanwhile, Austin finds himself in an empty white courtroom wondering where he is. Mickey shows up in a white robe and tells him that they should be able to win the case. A judge, also in white, shows up, and all of Austin's friends and families show up to. Austin wonders what is going on. The judge tells Austin that he is here to judge whether he has the right to go on living. Austin doesn't understand how the judge can hold a trial to decide the worth of any man's life. The judge looks at some papers and tells him that he's made his share of mistakes. Austin says he has, but he knows his life isn't worthless. The judge says that he'll be the judge of that. Suddenly, the prosecutor shows up, it's Austin's dad Curtis! Austin says "No, he'd rather have Satan himself." Curtis says he and Satan are almost like father and son, so he's just as good. The judge orders Austin to sit down, and Curtis calls the first witness, "Billie baby." Billie takes the stand and Curtis asks her to give the court one good reason they should let his screw-up of a brother live. Billie says he's a good man, but Curtis tells her that she and Austin are a couple of losers. Austin yells at Curtis to leave Billie alone! Mickey has to restrain Austin to keep him from attacking his father. Austin tells his dad to leave them alone, but Curtis says that someone has to be around to tell him how worthless they are. Austin says he and Billie are doing fine now and have people who love them. Curtis says they should hear about all this lovin', and then calls Lucas Roberts to come on down! Lucas says that Austin is just like Curtis, and he reminds their mom of all the years she spent with him. Lucas tells Curtis that he put his mom through hell. He says he and his brother Phillip were born out of love, but Austin and Billie were born out of evil, they are worthless and inferior! Lucas tells Austin that he has nothing but a drug addict slut of a sister. He tells both Austin and Billie to rot in hell with their father. Lucas steps down, and Mickey says that Austin is a man of morals and family values, he helped his sister get clean and turned her life around. Mickey says Austin also helped Sami turn around, and is a tremendous influence in Will's life. Mickey tells the court that Austin deserves to live, and rests his case. The judge leaves to consider his verdict. Austin can't believe that is all Mickey has to say, what about the other witnesses? Mickey thinks Curtis would tear them to shreds. The judge returns and says he is ready to rule.
In the OR, another surgeon shows up and Craig orders him to take over for Lexie, who is kicked out of the room. Out in the waiting room, Belle and Nicole wonder where Brandon could be. Lexie shows up to tell them all that the surgery is still going on, all they can do is wait. Belle is tired and says she's going to take a cab home. Belle and Marlena say good night, and Marlena says she'll call when she has news. Billie asks Lucas why he is here, he's probably glad this happened. Lucas asks Billie if she really thinks he wants Austin to die? Back in the OR, the doctors hit a bleeder. The other doctor exclaims "There is hardly a pulse, we are losing him!"
Belle goes down to the docks and thinks she sees Brandon, but it's only Shawn (D). She asks him what he's doing here all alone. Shawn said he felt like going for a ride. She sees his motorcycle and tells him to have a nice ride. Shawn doesn't want her walking the streets alone, especially to look for Brandon. Belle asks him if he's going to stop her? Shawn says he is, he is going to take her home. Belle tells him that she doesn't want his help, so he should just go home! She sees a seedy looking guy smoking near her and eyeing her, so she agrees to let Shawn give her a ride home, but only to get him off her back.
Bo returns to the boat to see "Hope." He sees they have a message, and decides to play it. "Hope" tells him that it was a telemarketer, so he doesn't need to bother. Bo notices how dressed up she is and asks her where she wants to go this late at night?
In Salem on the boat, New Gina tells Bo that she wants to move out of the boat so Shawn can live here and feel secure. Bo asks her where she will live? Gina tells him that she'll stay at the Salem Inn. Bo says this is not what he had in mind. Gina tells him it won't be long and to trust her instincts. She says their "son" needs to know there is nothing they wouldn't sacrifice for him. Bo realizes she has made up her mind, so he'll take her over there. Bo goes up to get his bike, only to find that it has been stolen. Bo tells Gina that has to go to the station and fill out a report. Gina tells him she will be fine, so he doesn't have to worry about her. Once he leaves, Gina is glad to be rid of him and his horrid offspring. She pulls out her phone and calls Kurt, who is roaming through the woods trying to find Hope. Kurt tells her that he hasn't found her yet, she has gotten away. Gina tells Kurt that he must find Hope, no matter what it takes! In France, Hope is running from the French authorities and their dogs through the woods. She hides from them, but they tell her she cannot escape. Unfortunately, Kurt manages to nab Hope.
Back in Salem, Gina is checking into her room at the Salem Inn when her phone rings. She answers it not with "Hello," but with "SPEAK!" It is Kurt calling, he tells her that he has found Hope. Gina is pleased and tells him not to let Hope get away again. Kurt looks at Hope, who is bound and gagged, and says he is taking her back to the castle. Gina tells Kurt that Hope is not allowed to return to Salem, ever! Kurt tells her not to worry, she won't escape again. As she is hanging up, Lily sees Gina and runs into her arms. Gina was not expecting to see Lily. Gina asks her what she is doing in this boring corner of the world? Lily tells her that she invited her here last Christmas. She says it will be so much fun having their rooms across from one another, they can pop back and forth just like old times. Lily asks her if she may still call her Gina? Gina tells her of course! Gina tells Lily good night and enters her room.
Back in the woods near Paris, Hope breaks out of her bonds and knees Kurt where it counts. She runs away from him and ends up falling into the water. Suddenly, a bright light envelopes her. Hope tries to swim away from it, but it is to strong. As she floats on her back, a blue beam hits her in the chest. In Salem, Gina begins to stumble around her room as the beam from the satellite is shooting across the earth. Gina comes in with tea and sees Gina stumbling around the room. Gina blurts out "the transformation is happening!"
Nicole finds Brandon on the docks. She tells him about Austin and his condition. She asks Brandon how he could let the same thing happen again? She blames herself for letting him see the letter from their dad. Brandon turns away from Nicole, who asks him to talk to her. Brandon says he doesn't want to talk. Nicole tells him that might be why this happened, because he won't open up to anyone. She says she tried to warn him about this, and he swore that it would be different this time. She asks how he could make the same mistake? Brandon tells her to shut up and get the hell away from him, he doesn't need her to tell him that he almost killed a man. Nicole promptly leaves after being sworn at.
In the OR, one of the doctors tells Craig that they are losing Austin. Craig manages to fix the problem and saves Austin. Craig asks the other doctor to close Austin up so he can go talk to his family. Out in the waiting room, Abe shows up and talks to Lexie, who is down because Craig threw her out of the OR. Lexie tells Abe what is going on with Austin in the OR. Abe asks if she has seen Brandon? Lexie says no, nobody has. Abe tells Lexie that he can't arrest Brandon because of the match, but after the fight he assaulted him, which he can take action on. Craig shows up to give everyone news about Austin, he's made it through surgery. However, Craig says they can't be sure if any brain damaged has occurred, so the next few hours are critical. Craig says that Austin's bleeding was more extensive then they thought, so they can't determine what his prognosis will be until he wakes up. Kate asks to see her son, and Craig says absolutely, but only immediate family members will be allowed to see him. Lexie asks Abe how arresting Brandon will help anything? Abe thinks that Brandon has a history of doing this thing, but Lexie says she watched him in the fight and it was almost like he was in a trace. Abe says that is all the more reason to put out a warrant for his arrest, that and the fact that he's run off. Nicole shows up and tells Lucas that she ran into Brandon at the docks, and she fears he will do something stupid. Lexie overhears this and leaves. Sami and Carrie are still bickering, and Marlena tells them to stop it. When Carrie wants to ask Craig to see Austin, Sami tells her not to even think about it. Sami doesn't want Austin to be reminded of betrayal and divorce, and she is being selfish if she wants to go see him. Marlena tells Sami to stop it. Carrie says she is going in to see him, if Sami wants to see him then she can wait!
In his dream world, the judge decides that Austin deserves to live. Curtis yells that the ruling is not fair because he didn't get a second chance. The judge says Austin will live, and now he must choose between Carrie and Sami as to which one he will find happiness with. In reality, Austin is taken to a room to recover in, and Kate shows up to see him. She says that she is always promising to make a new start between them, but it never seems to happen. She knows he and Billie think she doesn't love them as much as she does Lucas and Phillip, but it's not true. Kate says that it is just easier being a mother to them because she didn't let them down the way she let him and Billie down. Kate says that Curtis is their father because she was foolish enough to give herself to a wicked and evil man. She knows she can't make up for what was done to him, but if he wakes up, she'll spend the rest of her life trying to make it up to him. Back in Austin's dream world, Kate is called to the stand to decide who Austin belongs with. She states that he should be with Carrie, not with Sami. Curtis tells Kate that it is good he took Austin and Billie from her, she would have ruined their lives. Curtis says that Austin had a messed up dad and a flop of a mom, so either way Austin loses. After Kate leaves the real room, Billie come in to see Austin. She tells Austin that she's glad he didn't check out, because he's all she has left. She tells Austin that he was her angel, and she needs him to come back to her. Billie leaves the room, and Carrie enters. Carrie tells Austin that she may not deserve to be here, but she has to tell him something. In his dream world, Carrie takes the stand and says the divorce wasn't Austin's fault, it was hers. She says she broke their wedding vows, and she regrets hurting him. She says that she doesn't want to see anyone else hurt him like she has. Curtis laughs and says that Sami could never hurt him as much as she did. Carrie says that Sami tried to keep them apart. Carrie tells Austin she wants a second chance, and if he could forgive her they may be able to have a future together. The judge asks Austin what he thinks? Austin asks to hear from Sami first. Back in the real world, Carrie tells Austin that he needs to wake up soon, that way he'll be okay. As she is leaving, Carrie says maybe he'll give her another chance to make her happy.
Out in the hall, Sami asks Carrie, who has left Austin's room, if she thought Austin would open his eyes and forgive her? Sami tells her that Austin will never take her back. As she is about to limp into Austin's room, Kate stops her and tells her not to dare go in to see Austin. Sami tells her that she can't stop her, she and Austin have a strong connection and she can reach him, he needs to know that there are people who love him for who he is. She tells Kate that she almost lost her life on death row because of her, and it was Austin's love that brought her back, so nobody will stop her from seeing Austin. Kate backs away, and Sami goes in to see Austin. Kate tells Carrie that she didn't want Sami to see Austin, but Carrie says Sami doesn't care who gets hurt as long as she gets what she wants. Marlena tells Kate that she was afraid she would lose Sami when the helicopter crash. She says that Austin isn't alone either, someone is watching over him.
Back in Austin's room, Sami tells Austin how happy Will is to have him in his life, and she is counting on him to show Will how to be a good man. She then tells Austin that because of her she is a much better person, but she still has a long way to go and needs his help. She tells him to get well for her and Will because they are a family, and she loves him. Back in Austin's dream world, Sami takes the stand, and everyone says that Sami is bad news. Sami tells Curtis that she will not let him or anyone else take Austin's second chance away from him. Sami says that the Austin she loves is not a part of Curtis, which makes him laugh. Suddenly, Curtis is called back to hell by Satan, even though he doesn't want to leave. The judge says he's heard enough and tells Austin to make up his mind, who does he want to be with? Austin opens his mouth, but the judge tells him not to tell him. He tells him that this is a dream and he should wake up and tell her, whoever she is.
Sami leaves and goes back out into the hall. She says she tried to tell Austin to come back to them, but fears he might never wake up. Marlena holds Sami and tries to comfort her. Back in his room, Austin stirs awake. Craig is with him, and he asks Austin if he can hear him?
Bo shows up to Marlena and tell her how things are going. Marlena admits that she is relieved that Gina is gone, and that Shawn D must be happy to have his mom back. Bo doesn't agree, he and Shawn got into it tonight. Bo sees Abe and tells him he just came from the station, his motorcycle was stolen.
Lexie finds Brandon on the docks. She tells him that Austin made it through surgery, but they don't know about brain damage. She asks him what happened tonight, he looked like he was in a trance. Lexie wants to be there for him, and she asks what was driving him in the ring? Brandon tells Lexie that he was punching Austin, but he was seeing someone else. Brandon says he doesn't want to talk about it and to just forget him, but Lexie says she can't. Lexie says Abe is upset because he assaulted him, he is checking into his background and may press charges. Brandon asks Lexie if she came here to turn him into her husband?
Carrie goes in to see Austin and talks to him. She feels like all she gave him was pain and hurt, while he gave up so much for her. She tells Austin that she wants a chance to make it up to her, and asks if he will give her that chance? Austin says "Where is she?" Carrie says she is right here. Austin tells her "No, I want her, I want Sami!"
Nicholas talks to Kate, who has been thinking about what Billie said to her. She think that Billie is right, she doesn't know how to be a good mother. Nicholas tells Kate that she is wrong, she is a love and warming person. He says "If I can do anything for your family . . . " and Kate cuts him off and says she knows, he's there.
Shawn and Belle have been brought into the station because Shawn is under suspicion of stealing Bo's bike. Shawn tells the officer that he didn't steal it, and that he is tight with Abe Carver, who won't be happy about this. Shawn tells him if he lets him go, he'll forget about this. Bo shows up and tells his son "No dice!" Bo, Shawn, Belle, and the officer go into Abe's office. Bo looks over the report, which indicates that Shawn was doing 70 in a 35 mph zone. The cop says that when he pulled him over, he realized the bike was stolen, so he brought him and his girlfriend in. Belle is insulted and points out that she is not his girlfriend, and she didn't know the bike was stolen. Shawn says he didn't steal it, he borrowed it. Shawn tells Bo that he just needed some down time after their fight. Bo tells him that everyone goes trhough problems. Shawn thinks that another lecture is coming on. Shawn tells his dad that he has to stop handing out lectures. Bo says all he is trying to do is talk to him, but he won't give anyone a chance. Shawn says this is a crock and turns around. Bo grabs him, spins him around, and tells him not to turn his back on him! Bo says that he broke the law, so he must pay. When Shawn asks how, Bo tells Abe to put Shawn in jail because he might not be posting bail. Shawn can't believe he is going to lock him up. Bo tells Shawn that ever since he came back from school he's been treating his family like they are a bunch of idiots and constantly spouting life sucks. He says it is bad enought that he went for a joy ride, but he could have hurt Belle. Shawn starts talking about how he and his mom are allowed to do dangerous stuff all the time. Abe has to leave to go to the hosptial to check up on Austin and look for Brandon. Bo leaves the room, and Belle tells Shawn that his dad won't put him in jail, but he deserves it for what he did tonight. The two start arguing, and Marlena shows up. Belle asks to be taken home, but Marlena wants her to explain herself first. Shawn can't wait to hear "perfect girl's" story. Belle explains what happened. Marlena can't believe Belle got on the motorcycle. Belle says Shawn told her to get on, but Marlena says she could have said NO. Belle knows that and says she deserves to be punished. Marlena tells her that she will be!
In the other room, Bo calls Hope, who refuses to come to the station (see below for conversation details). Because Hope wouldn't come to the station, Bo calls Alice. Alice comes into the station and scolds Shawn Douglas for being out of line, and says that it has got to stop! Alice and Bo talk in private. Alice doesn't understand why Hope wouldn't come down here? Bo says that Hope is blaming herself for this, and she fears she would make things worse. Alice realizes there is something he is not telling her. Bo says that Hope has decided not to live with them because she believes it is better for Shawn D. Bo admits that he is concerned about Hope, she is acting very strange. ALice asks if she still thinks she's Gina? Bo says no, Hope is Hope, but he doesn't want her to think he doesn't trust her. Alice tells him that the only way he and Hope can get past this is if Hope comes down here, and moves back home. Shawn interupts and asks if they can go home? Bo tells him that he is interupting them. Shawn tells Alice that he hopes she can talk some sense into his father, but Alice says Bo is his father, he is in charge, she wouldn't tell him how to deal with his son! Shawn asks his "daddy" if they can please go home, he "crosses his heart" and says that he will "be good." Bo hands one of the officer's "this kid's" paperwork and tells him to book him. Alice looks at Bo with a look of disbelief. The officer takes him away, and Belle can't believe this is happening.
On the docks, Lexie asks Brandon to turn himself in. Brandon refuses to give "that bastard" the satisfaction. Brandon tells her to go, this isn't a big deal. Lexie tells him that he is in trouble, and Abe might be able to help him. Brandon says he doesn't want his help, but eventually agrees to talk to him to get her off his back. He says he needs to go home and clean himself up first. Lexie leaves, and Brandon damns his father.
Abe shows up at the hospital and waits for Lexie to return. When she shows up, he asks where she has been? Lexie tells him that they need to talk about Brandon, he can't arrest him. Abe says he can't forget that Brandon assulted him and hurt Austin in the ring. Lexie tells him to just talk to Brandon first, but Abe asks why he should talk to that son of a . . . that young man. Lexie says if he talks to Brandon then he will understand what happened. Abe realizes she went to see Brandon and purposely didn't tell him about it. Lexie says she wanted to talk to Brandon first, that is why she didn't tell him. Abe asks Lexie where Brandon is now? Lexie asks if he still plans on arresting him? Abe tells her that she doesn't need to know what he plans on doing, and that she should stay out of it. Lexie refuses!
Sami goes back to the mansion and looks at the boxing ring she set up for Austin in the garage so he could train. She says that people write songs, poems, and plays about people who change others' lives. She says she fell in love with Austin the first day she met him, and she's never stopped. She says that she believes Austin loves her too, she just wasn't ready to see it or say it. However, she thought there would come a time when he would see it, and it was that belief that keept her going. She goes on to say that if he died, she would have died with him. She says that when he woke up and asked for Carrie, it finally hit her, he doesn't love her and he never will. Sami breaks down into tears, and Brandon, who has heard everything, shows up behind her. Sami tells Brandon to get the hell out of here, she doesn't want to see him. She asks how he could something so horrible? She begins banging on his chest screaming "tell me how you could do that!" Brandon tells Sami that he knows what he did was wrong. Sami tells him that she could have lost Austin, but then says she has lost him. Sami breaks down once again, but this time in Brandon's arms.
At the Salem Inn, Lily sees Gina stumbling around the room and holding her head. Lily asks "Hope" what is happening to her? Gina ends up collapsing into Lily's arms. Gina comes too and asks Lily why she keeps calling her Hope, she is Gina! Gina answers her phone, it is Bo calling to tell her about Shawn being arrested. He says that he needs her help with their son, and asks her to come down to the station. Gina tells him that she can't, it wouldn't be a very good idea because Shawn is upset because of him. Bo doesn't care what Shawn thinks, Shawn needs them both. Gina tells him that she doesn't have the strength to deal with this, he should handle it. She then hangs up on him. Lily is confused and asks "Hope" who she is? Gina says she is "Hope" of course, but Lily knows better. She knows that she is the real Gina. When Lily wants to share the news that she is alive with the world, Gina tells her that nobody can know. Lily tells her that there is no need to be harsh. Gina apologizes for snaping at Lily and says she's been a little paranoid lately, she doesn't know who to trust. Lily tells her that she should never doubt her loyalty. She also says it is not fare, everyone but her grow older. Gina says she should give her the name of her doctor, but Lily already knows who it is. She says her looks don't matter, it is her inner beauty that people love. Lily asks GIna why she is pretending to be Hope, where is the real Hope? Gina says she doesn't care where that monster is! She says that they met in France, and that Hope locked her up so she could pretend to be her. Gina says she managed to escape, and Hope vanished. Gina says that Hope's family has no idea what a wretched and cruel woman Hope is. She says that it is only fair that she pretends to be Hope for awhile. Gina says that she does intend to tell everyone the truth, but she must spend time amongst them and prepare them. She also says she will spend time with Greta, and she'll tell her the truth when she is ready. Lily thinks Gina has such a good heart by helping everyone else first.
In France, Hope is floating on her back in the water and is being struck in the chest by a blue laser beam. Kurt, who has recovered, screams out Hope's name. As she floats in the blue lighted water, all the memories that belonged to Princess Gina begin floating out of her body, so to speak. She is eventually rescued by a Frenchman. Kurt sees the man pull Hope into his boat, so he swims after them. The man takes Hope home, and he and his wife care for her. As the man is about to call the police, Kurt bursts in the door and limps to Hope's side. The man and woman asks who Kurt is, so he says that he is Hope's husband. He thanks them, but says he will take it from here.
At the Salem Inn, Gina tells Lily that it would be much to shocking to tell the Brady's about Hope just yet, and the right time may never present itself. Lily tells Gina that it is just good to have her back. Lily says they should go to the theater this weekend, but Gina says that they can't do that because people will become suspicious, she must convince them that she is Hope. Lily tells her that she won't convince anyone that she is Hope if she keeps smoking those cigarettes. Gina blows smoke and says "here comes a Lily Faversham anti-smoking lecture." Lily tells GIna that her life is precious and she doesn't want to see it cut short. She makes Gina promise to give up smoking. Gina says she will try extremely hard to kick this nasty habit. Gina's phone rings and she answers it, it is Alice. Alice is glad to hear her voice. Gina tells her that it is good to hear hers and she is excited about living a normal life again. Alice tells her that living with Bo and refusing to come down here is not normal! Alice orders "Hope" to come to the station right now and be a mother to her son! Gina hears Alice talking to someone else in the background, so she asks who is there? Alice says Bo and Marlena are with her. When Hope hears that Marlena is their, her interest peaks. Gina tells Alice that she is on her way there. Gina can't wait to meet the famous Marlena Evans.
At the station, John shows up to be with Belle and Marlena. Belle says she'd like to talk to Shawn before they leave, and John says he'd like to have a talk with him too. Later, Alice calls "Hope" and convinces her to come down to the station. Alice tells Bo that she is going to go home, and apologizes to Marlena for her stinker of a great grandson. Marlena gets a call, so she takes the call. As she leaves for some privacy, Gina shows up and gives Bo a hug. Gina tells him to let SHawn out of jail now. Bo says he didn't intend to leave him there for long, just enough to give him a scare. Gina begs him to let Shawn out. Bo says he will if that is what she wants. Bo tells her that while he's gone to get their son, she should write out her statement against DiMera. Gina says she can't, she's been feeling bad lately and is having problems with her memories of Gina, they are beginning to disappear. Bo becomes upset because they are counting on those memories to put DiMera behind bars. Gina says she doesn't know what is wrong, her past as Gina is growing hazy and distant. Bo thinks that DiMera has something to do with this and begs her to try and remember.
MArk the officer is putting Shawn into a cell. Belle shows up to see him, and he asks what "Perfect Girl" is doing in a hell hole like this? Belle tells him that she heard some of the guys talking about the food and wanted to warn him not to eat the meat. Shawn tells her that she is only here because she feels guilty. He accuses her of not even knowing right from wrong, and says that their parents are good people one minute, but then her dad becomes a mercenary priest and his mom becomes a evil princess. Belle tells Shawn to write a depressing song, sing it, and make a video about it! Shawn asks her if she want him to play Ken for her? He says that her childhood has been as rotten ask his and ask how come it never backs up on her? John walks up to Belle, and Shawn says it is the man who has made Belle's childhood as messed up as his! John tells Shawn that he is a punk, what he did was irresponsible and dangerous, and asks what the hell is up with him? Belle tells his dad that she was at the docks looking for Brandon, and Shawn just tried to protect her from the scummy looking guys. John tells Belle that she should have never been down there, and they should go. Belle asks her dad for a few more minutes. John leaves, and Shawn asks Belle why she wanted to stay? Belle says she wanted to clear something up. She says she knows bad things have happened to her family, but she has moved on. She tells him that she has a mom and dad who love her, and that is enough for her. She says she doesn't go around angry all the time and blaming them for it. Shawn says that he's not angry all the time. Belle tells him that his secret is safe with her, and for the record, she's not perfect all the time.
John back upstairs and finds Bo begging Gina to remember. He asks if everything is all right here? Gina is stunned to see John. Bo tells John that "Hope" is loosing her memories, and he apologizes to Hope for getting so upset. He asks her if she'll forgive him? Gina tells him of course she will. Bo leaves to get their son, leaving Gina alone with John. She tells him that she's probably the last person he wants to see. He stops her from walking away and says what happened is in the past, he understands what it is like to feel like your out of control. John tells "Hope" that he wants her to have the chance to rebuild her life with the people she loves. Gina says she wants that more than anything. When Marlena returns, John smiles and says that is what he's been able to do. Gina tries to keep her cool when she sees John kiss Marlena. Marlena hugs "Hope" and tells her that it is good to see her. GIna tells Marlena that she looks so beautiful. Hope tells them both that it is a relief to be home with her family and friends. Belle shows up and is happy to see her "Aunt Hope." Gina tells her that she's really grown up! Belle tells her parents that she's ready to be punished, but Marlena and John think she has taken responsibility for her actions and has been punished enough. Gina excuses herself for a second. Belle leaves to go home and says she'll see them later. John tells Marlena that she'd like her to talk to Bo, DiMera is up to his old tricks, and "Hope" doesn't have any memories of being Gina again. Meanwhile, Gina goes into the bathroom and starts trashing it while screaming "John is mine!" Marlena walks in and sees Hope in a fit of rage.
Bo goes down to see his son, who calls him "Detective Brady." Bo tells him to call him dad, but he refuses because if he's going to be treated like a criminal, he'll treat him like a cop. Bo says he is hear to let him out, but he can thank his mother for insisting he release him. Shawn says "Thanks to both of you, for nothing!"
At the hospital, Austin tells Carrie that he wants Sami. Carrie asks "You mean you don't want me after everything I just said? You don't want me to nurse you back to health?" Austin tells her no. Carrie leaves the room and asks Craig why he thought Austin wanted to see her? Craig says that Austin said "He wanted her back, and she left" he assumed that he was talking about her. Carrie says he was wrong, Austin wanted Sami. Craig apologizes to Carrie for this mistake. Carrie says what is important is Austin's health, so if he wants Sami, she will go get her. Craig checks in on Austin and tells him that he wants him to relax, and that Sami will be in to see him soon.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Sami pushes Brandon away and says "How dare you comfort me!" Brandon tells her that it won't happen again because he's leaving town. Sami can't believe he is actually going to run. When Brandon asks "Who are you to talk?" Sami says she ran because she was innocent. She tells him to be a man and stand up to face what he's done! She tells him that if he is going to run, he should at least tell Austin how sorry he is before he goes. Brandon tells her "No, never!" Brandon thinks Austin is the last person he wants to talk to, but Sami says Austin is a compassionate and forgiving man. Brandon says that saying "I'm sorry" won't cut it. Sami tells him that he has to face up to what he's done and apologize. Carrie shows up and is angry to find Brandon with Sami. She wants to know what happened at the fight? Brandon says he blanked out and doesn't know what happened. Brandon leaves, and Sami tells Carrie that she isn't in the mood for hearing her gloating. Carrie says that is not why she came. Sami tells Carrie that she doesn't want to hear anything she has to say, she is sick of trying to love her, but she's not going to try anymore because she is the most hateful person in the world and she doesn't want to have anything to do with her ever! She tells Carrie that she lost the one man she's ever loved, and it is her fault. Sami says that Austin deserves to be loved by someone better, like her. Carrie tells Sami that she has no idea what she is talking about. Sami says she does, she thought she could have a good life with Austin, but she ruined it and now she hates her for it. Carrie tells Sami "to hell with you!" As Carrie is leaving, Sami wants to know what Carrie came here to tell her? Carrie says nothing, and Sami says she was right after all, she came here to gloat that Austin chose her. Carrie tells Sami that is exactly why she came, and then walks out.
At Abe and Lexie's place, Abe can't believe Lexie won't tell him where Brandon is. Lexie says she knows he will arrest Brandon and she doesn't think that is a good idea considering Brandon's mental state. Abe commends Lexie for having a soft heart, but Brandon is trouble and needs help. Lexie doesn't think arresting Brandon will help him at all. As Lexie is brushing her hair, she becomes dizzy, and wonders if she could be pregnant. Abe shows up with a fax about Brandon's past, he put a kid in a coma once before. Lexie still thinks Brandon has some misdirected anger, but Abe says he felt Brandon's anger, and it was directed towards him! He tells Lexie that something has to be done about Brandon. Lexie can't believe Abe doesn't like Brandon. Abe suggests they just relax and get some sleep.
Back at the hospital, Brandon sneaks into Austin's room, and Austin gives him a hateful look. Austin asks him why he is here? Brandon says that he came to say he was sorry, he lost it in the ring and admits that it wasn't the first time. Brandon explains to Austin that he thought he could control it, but he was wrong. He tells Austin that he was seeing someone else in the ring, but he probably can't understand that. Meanwhile, as they are talking, Craig sees Brandon in with Austin, so he calls Abe.
At the Carver house, Abe gets a call from Craig, who tells him that Brandon is at the hospital in Austin's room. Abe says he will be right there, and tells Lexie that he has to leave because of police business. Lexie gets up and has another dizzy spell, and thinks that she might actually be pregnant.
Back at the hospital, Brandon continues to tell Austin that it wasn't about him, and he hopes he will see that one day. Abe, who has shown up, doubts that. Abe arrests Brandon for assaulting a police officer.
At the station, Bo apologizes to John for what Shawn did, but John says Isabelle has a mind of her own and doesn't let anyone tell her what to do. Bo says that this is all DiMera's fault. John tells Bo that he should focus on Hope and Shawn right now, not Stefano. Bo tells John that as long as Stefano is out there this nightmare will never be over.
In the bathroom, Marlena tries to council "Hope." Marlena wants to help her, but Gina tells her that this is all her fault! Marlena asks "Hope" to elaborate on that statement. Gina tells Marlena that she wouldn't let John remember his past, and now she doesn't remember her's and it is lost forever. She looks in the mirror and tells Marlena that she sees the face of a stranger. She then begs Marlena not to tell Bo about this. Marlena tells "Hope" that Bo is not angry with her, he's angry with Stefano. Marlena is worried about "Hope" and invites her to talk to her this afternoon. Gina thinks Marlena wants her to be a patient. Marlena says she is her friend, and she knows how it feels to have Stefano tear your life apart. Gina says she is just so tired and wishes she could sleep for the next 48 hours. Marlena tells "Hope" that she'll be there if she wants to talk. Marlena leaves, and Gina decides to call Marlena, but not just yet.
Marlena and Hope go back to John and Bo. Marlena and John leave, and Gina hugs both John and Marlena. Bo tells Gina that he wants her to move out of the Inn and return to the boat because it is time that they were a family again. GIna tells him "No, it's not!" Bo is confused and doesn't understand. Gina tells Bo that they don't want Shawn to get mixed signals about having sex before marriage, she thinks they have to set a good example for him. Bo can't believe she is serious about this. Bo asks if kissing is allowed? She tells him not infront of Shawn, but later says she was joking. Bo tells her that he loves her, and she says she knows. Gina tells Bo that she is tired, so she'll see him later.
At the home, Nicholas is talking to his aunt on the phone. Vivian asks how Victor is? Nicholas says that Victor is the same. Vivian says she has to talk with an herbalist, and Nicholas tells Aunt Viv to take care of herself. Nicholas goes into Victor's room where a nurse is giving Victor his medication. The nurse leaves and Victor asks Nicholas to look after Kate for him. Nicholas is taken aback by the request. Victor says that he is the only one who he can trust to watch over Kate until he is able to. Victor is worried about Kate because he understands what she has been through, as much as Billie is hurting, it is a hundred times worse for Kate.
At the hospital, Lexie tells a nurse that she's having a pregnancy test done, but wants the results to be kept secret. She asks to have the results delivered to her. Carrie shows up and tells Lexie that Abe arrested Brandon last night. The news shocks Lexie. Lexie goes to the station and posts Brandon's bail for Rachel's sake, she has grown worse. Lexie and BRandon leave the station and go back to the hospital where they visit with Rachel. Rachel is happy to see Brandon and says that she knew he'd come. Brandon tells her that he'd never break a promise to her. Rachel tells her mom and dad that she loves them. He tells her not to worry about them, they will take care of each other. Rachel's mom cries, but she tells her not to because she is not scared. Rachel asks Lexie to sing to her, so she sings and tries to hold back the tears. Later, Brandon comforts a devastated Lexie after Rachel dies. She tells him that she might be pregnant, and if it is a girl she will name her Rachel.
At the mansion, Kate catches Sami in the garage. Kate tells Sami that an equipment company is coming to move all of this stuff out of the garage, she doesn't want any reminders of it when Austin comes home. When Sami tells her that she should ask Brandon to move out, Kate tells Sami that she is the one who is going to be moving out, today! Kate says that Austin has chosen Carrie, so she should leave. Sami says that Austin still loves Will and wants his mother to be with him. Kate tells her that she's going to have to move out once she loses custody of Will. Sami tells Kate that she may have lost Austin, but she won't lose Will! Kate tells her that they'll just see about that, and then she leaves.
Billie shows up to visit Austin. Austin thought she was Sami at first. Billie asks him if he was expecting Sami? He says he was. Austin tells Billie that he told Carrie to tell Sami he wanted to see her, he doesn't know why she's not here. Billie says she will call Sami for him, but she has something to tell him. Billie tells him that she's leaving for Paris today. Austin asks her to talk to mom before she leaves, or she may regret it for the rest of her life. When Austin tells Billie that her problem with their mom is that they are so much alike, Billie freaks and asks him how many fingers she's holding up? Austin tells her that Curtis did the same things he did to her to their mom, so how can she help her when their wounds are the same. Billie tells Austin that he's the one that always took care of her, she doesn't need her mom. Austin doubts that and tells her that she does need her.
Billie finds Sami in Salem Place and tells Sami that Austin's asking to see her. Sami is shocked, and Billie tells her that Carrie was supposed to pass on the message. Sami hugs Billie and thanks her so much. After Sami runs off, Nicholas runs into Billie. Billie asks him if her mom asked him to follow her? Nicholas says he made a mistake, but he wouldn't be here to make things right if he didn't care about her. Billie asks him if he cares about her mom, or is she another conquest? Nicholas says he is not going to discuss Kate. Billie tells Nicholas that Kate loves Victor and they have a son together, so he should back off. Nicholas says they need him so he can't quit. Billie tells him to work hard at keeping his belt holding up those pants because her mother deserves better than him.
In Salem Place, John surprises Marlena with flowers. Unbeknown to them, Gina is spying on them. She sees a reflection of "Princess Gina" in a store window. Princess Gina tells her that she is here to help her.
Sami goes to the hospital to visit Austin, but runs into Carrie first. She tells Carrie that she got the message Austin sent for her, the message that she never gave her! Carrie says she tried to tell her, but she didn't want to hear anything she had to say. Carrie also says that she figured Austin was just groggy, because she is the last person Austin needs around him. She tells Sami that one of these days Austin will see who she really is. Carrie walks off, and Sami stands outside the door to AUstin's room thinking about what Carrie told her. She eventually goes in to see Austin, who is glad to see her.
Kate goes into the office and gets a call from Vivian. Vivian tells her that she is working on getting a multi-million dollar deal for Titan, but she'll be gone a little while longer. Billie shows up to say goodbye to her mother. Kate tells Billie that she is sorry she blew their second chance. Billie tells her mom that it isn't all her fault, it is hers to. Kate says none of this is her fault, but she says she was desperate to hold onto Bo and Nicholas. She says that she did not make her this way, Curtis did. Billie tells her mom that she doesn't have all bad memories of her childhood, her one happy memory was of her singing to her and telling her that she loves her. Billie tells her mom that she knows she loves her, and she loves her too. Kate asks Billie not to go, she begs her to stay. Billie says that she has to leave, for herself and for her mom. Kate tells Billie that she is very proud of her, and the two hug. She tells her mom that she will miss her, and then leaves. Kate breaks into tears after Billie is gone.
Vivian calls Nicholas and tells him that she has found an herbalist, Dr. Sue Lee, to see Victor. She tells Nicholas that he will have to convince Victor to allow Dr. Lee to see him. Nicholas goes back to see Victor and brings him some computer games to play. He also tells him that Aunt Viv wants him to see a herbalist. Victor thinks this doctor sounds like a quack, but he will meet with her. Later, Dr. Sue Lee shows up to see Victor, but it's actually Vivian in disguise! The nurse think she recognizes Vivian, but Vivian says they don't know one another, and prays she doesn't recognize her.
