Brandon finds Sami hanging out in the park dreaming of the day Lucas is no longer part of her life. She tells him that she and Austin will have a new beginning. She tells him that she and Carrie have forgiven one another, and Carrie is happy with Mike and that he's even given her a ring. Brandon asks her where her ring is? Sami says it is to soon for that. Brandon asks her if they have slept together yet? Sami becomes angry and tells him that is none of his business! Brandon gives Sami a little unwanted advice. He tells her that Austin will never marry her as long as they are shacking up, so she should move out if she hopes to have a real relationship with Austin. Sami refuses to move out and give up being close to Will, so Brandon says Austin should move out and court her. Sami asks Brandon why he's being so negative? Brandon says he's only being realistic, and she should to. He tells her that Austin is on the rebound and is getting everything what he wants from her, except sex, but he'll probably be getting that soon to. Sami tells Brandon to get a life and stay out of hers!
Eric and Greta meet in Salem Place and Eric tells Greta that he didn't get the job in New York. Greta doesn't understand, the photo shoot with Nicole was very sexy. Eric begins feeling guilty about the shoot and tells Greta that he has to tell her something about the photo shoot. However, he chickens out and apologizes for making her feel very uncomfortable during the shoot and he doesn't blame her for leaving. Greta is surprised that he didn't get the job. Eric is too, but he says that there will be other jobs and he plans on passing his work around to some agencies. Greta looks at his work, especially a photo of Nicole, and she is wowed by Nicole's sophistication and worldliness look. Eric tells Greta that people aren't always as they seem, and he tells Greta that what he and Nicole had is over. He gives her a little kiss, which embarrasses her. She tells him that she has to go, but she will see him later.
Lily comes to visit Gina in her room at the Inn. She is blasting some dance music similar to the songs she and Bo danced to last night. Gina says that Bo loves her so much, but Lily says that Bo loves Hope, not her. Lily warns Gina that she is playing a very serious game and could find herself locked up in a federal prison for a very serious crime for a long time. Gina says that this is not a game she is playing, she is taking back the years Stefano stole from her. Lily tells Gina that Bo has loved Hope all his life, he will know she's not Hope, especially once they become intimate. Gina says that she knows Hope as well as she knows herself, and she is most certain that Bo will never know the difference. There is a knock at the door, it is Greta coming to see "Hope." Gina, who was smoking, makes Lily hold her cigarette and pretend she was the one who was smoking. Lily leaves, and Gina asks Greta what has brought her here? Greta tells "Hope" that she needs her help with something. Greta asks her to teach her to be sexy and alluring. Gina tells her that she is a beautiful young woman, both inside and outside. Greta tells "Hope" that she when she compares herself to her mother she comes up short, and she thinks she'd be a disappointment to her mother. Gina tells her that is not true, her mother loved her very much. Greta says during the last years of her life they didn't communicate very much because of her depressions. Gina tells her to focus on her earlier memories of her mother, like the time she was invited out on her first date. Greta remembers that she was invited to a school dance by Nathan. The two flashback and remember how upset Greta was about going on a date. She didn't think she was enough like her mother, but Gina told her that she should be herself, not an imitation of her. Gina told her that she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Greta tells "Hope" that she's right, her mother was always there for her. Gina tells Greta that her mother loved her with all of her heart, she has no doubt about that. Greta asks "Hope" how she knew about her first official date? Gina says that all girls share the news of their first date with their mother, so she just assumed. Greta remembers another situation from her past when she had a bad day at school and her mother comforted her. Greta told her mom that the teacher asked everyone what they wanted to be when they grew up, and when she said happy, everyone laughed at her. Gina told her that was a wonderful thing to wish for. She told her daughter that she will be happy when she grows up and will find a man who is right for her. BAck in the present, Gina asks Greta if Eric is the right man for her? Greta says maybe, but she has insecurities about his feelings for Nicole and whether he'll ever get over her. She says that she saw what happened to her mother after she lost John, she never got over him and died of a broken heart. Gina blurts out "that is not true!" She quickly changes the topic and tells her that this talk is upsetting her, and tells Greta to go see Eric and talk to him and make him see that he is the man for her. Greta thanks "Hope" for making her feel better. "Hope" suggests they both go on a shopping spree, and Greta accepts this invitation. Greta has to leave to get a few things, and Gina picks up the phone to make a call.
Back in Salem Place, Eric looks at his photos and wonders how he let Nicole get to him again. Sami runs into Eric and the two exchange hugs. Sami is upset for him when she learns he didn't get the job in Europe. When she says he could always go back to Titan, Eric thinks she is nuts. Sami tells Eric that Nicole has her old job and she'd hire him back in a heartbeat. She tells her brother that she's seen the way she looks at him, and so has Lucas. Eric remembers the photo shoot and says he can't work at Titan again. Sami asks if it is because of Nicole, and asks if he still loves her? Eric says no, of course not, which pleases Sami. She asks Eric if Nicole ever explained why she dumped him for Lucas? Eric says she didn't. Sami tells Eric that this is his chance to find out, and if he goes back to work at Titan she can help him expose Kate and Lucas.
In France, Kurt and Claude return from a fishing trip, and Kurt decides to check on Hope. Once he leaves the room, Claude tells Theresa that Kurt is lying about himself and Hope, he's sure of it. Kurt plans to go to the neighbors to call the police. In her room, Hope wakes up and tells Kurt that her memory is coming back! Kurt asks Hope what she remembers? Hope tells him that she remembers giving birth to a baby boy. Kurt says they had a girl, so she obviously had a dream. Hope says it was very real, and frightening. She says that her husband was in the delivery room with her, and it wasn't him! Hope asks Kurt why he wasn't her husband, and why he wasn't there for the birth of their child? Kurt tells Hope that it was just a dream. Kurt lies down on the bed next to her and tells her that as soon as they return home her memory will return. Kurt and Hope go out and have dinner with Claude and Theresa, and afterwards Kurt suggests that he and his wife head home. Claude and Theresa ask them to wait until tomorrow to leave, and Hope says she would like to get a good night sleep. Kurt says if that is what she wishes. Kurt leaves to get some firewood, and Hope thanks them for everything and goes off to bed. Kurt returns with some wood and decides to go check on his "wife." He goes into her room to find her in bed. He tells her that she looks so pale and asks if she is okay? Hope says she is tired and needs to rest here a day or two more. Kurt refuses and says that he thinks Claude is causing trouble for them. Kurt then tells her not to worry and to just trust in him, once they arrive home everything will be fine. Suddenly, Gina calls Kurt to see if everything is fine? Kurt says it will be soon, he will be back on the estate tomorrow. Gina asks him where he and Hope are? Kurt says he is fine, and Hope is fine, and hangs up. Hope asks who he was just talking to? Kurt says it was his boss, he was very concerned about the both of them. He tells her to just try and get some sleep. Out in the other room, the police show up, and Claude tells them to follow him. In the bedroom, Hope hears voices in the other room, so she peaks her head out to see who it is.
Bo shows up at the hospital to see Marlena, and they are both shocked to learn that Victor is there. They go into see him, he is with Nicholas. Victor tells them that he was being over-medicated at the nursing home and is expected to make a full recovery! They are both thrilled. Later, Nicholas asks Victor if he's going to call Kate to tell her where he is? He says not yet, the last time they talked they had a fight. He assures Nicholas that when he returns home, things are going to change.
Bo talks with Marlena in her office about Hope. He tells Marlena that he's been getting strange vibes from Hope, the same ones Shawn has been getting. He tells her that he's so afraid that what Stefano did to her has scared her deeper than anyone realized, and he fears he has lost the woman he loved so deeply. Marlena tells Bo that he just needs to give Hope some time, she's sure that the magic will return. He then tells MArlena that something else has been on his mind, he and Hope haven't been intimate for a long time, and he doesn't know how she feels about that. Marlena tells Bo that there is only one way to find out.
At the mansion, Phillip asks his mom if she has tried calling dad lately, he isn't answering his phone. Kate says she hasn't. Phillip realizes his mom and dad had a fight about him, and tries to milk it. He tells his mom that she should show his dad a lesson by giving him that extra cash. Kate tells Phillip no dice, he needs to learn some responsibility. Phillip ends up begging for the cash, but she tells him to stop being so dramatic, this isn't a case of life or death! Kate leaves, and Phillip is beeped by his bookie. He tells himself "Oh yes it is!" He steals four hundred dollars from his mom's cash stash to pay his bookie, but his bookie tells him he expects the rest within the next 24 hours.
Downstairs, Lucas caves into Nicole's demands and calls Eric. He asks Eric to come over to the mansion so they can talk. Eric thinks it may be about the photo shoot, so he agrees to give Lucas ten minutes. Eric arrives, and Lucas and Nicole offer him his job back. Lucas hands him a contract and says he will even get a salary raise and a company car. Eric asks to think about it, but Lucas tells him that he has to decide right now.
"Hope" and Greta stop at the Java Cafe for some coffee after their shopping spree. Gina decides that today will be the day she will tell Greta the truth about her. Greta begins to get weird vibes from "Hope." Gina had been mentioning things all day that only Greta's mother knew. Greta asks "Hope" if she's having left over memories of her mother? Gina asks Greta if it would not be wonderful if she could have her mother back? Greta asks "Hope" how she could be so cruel to her? She says that getting over her mother's death was the hardest thing she had to do, and having her mother back in her life is the last thing she needs right now. A hurt Gina tells Greta that she's right, she has to keep the past in the past. They switch the subject to love, and Greta mentions that she doesn't know if she believes in love. Gina tells her never to say that, love is the most important thing in life. She tells Greta that she is living, breathing proof that love lasts. Greta recalls those were the exact words her mother wrote her in a letter, and tells "Hope" that this is more than a coincidence. Gina says it is, and as she is about to tell her the truth, Bo shows up and prevents her. Greta leaves to give them some time alone, and Bo gives Gina a kiss.
In France, the police show up at the cabin to question Hope about her connection to Gina and the stolen painting. The bang on the door to the bedroom where Hope and Kurt are and demand that they open up. Hope has a memory flash of herself as a cop and thinks they should open the door because they can trust the police. Kurt eventually opens the door, and the police tell Hope that they need to question her about Princess Gina and the theft of the painting. Hope says she is not that woman, and Kurt says this is just a case of mistaken identity. They insist she come with them to the station, so Kurt asks them to give her a few minutes to change into some clothes. Hope changes, but Kurt wants to run. Hope refuses because she doesn't know if she can trust him, she doesn't even remember anything about their past or him. Kurt tells her that if he comes with her everything will be right, but she asks for proof. He calls her his Fancyface, and Hope remembers the name. The two then take off on Claude's motorcycle.
Phillip takes a bunch of his stuff to a pawn shop, but only gets seven hundred dollars. The pawn broker suggests Phillip pawn his watch, which Phillip says his dad gave him. The pawn broker asks him how badly he needs the bucks? Phillip gives him the watch, and he offers him a thousand bucks for it, but then he sees the inscription and says he can only give him eight hundred for it. Phillip pawns it, but only because the man tells him that he has thirty days to reclaim it. He thinks he'll have the watch back before anyone knows it is missing.
Phillip meets Jason in Salem Place, and pays him the money he owes him. Jason plans to use the money to place a bet on a football game because he's heard an inside tip that the quarterback has a bum shoulder. Phillip thinks this may be an easy way to make up some of his lost money, so he gives Jason four hundred bucks to bet for him.
In Salem Place, Mimi returns some dresses to Ballistix as Belle waits outside for her. She spots Shawn, so she asks him to wait around to see Mimi after she comes out of the store. She gets some weird vibes from him and asks if something is wrong. Shawn says that it is just his mom. Belle tells Shawn that things will get better. Phillip shows up and invites Belle out to a drink, so they leave. Mimi shows up with a ton of stuff, and she asks Shawn why he's hanging out by himself? He says he doesn't know. She tells Shawn that she had a good time at the dance with him. Shawn says they hardly danced, but she says there is always next time! Shawn tells Mimi that he's not looking to hook up with anyone anytime soon, or ever at the rate he's going.
At the hospital, Kate arrives to see Victor, fearing he had another stroke. She goes into see Victor and finds Vivian with him. Kate accuses her of rendering Victor helpless once again. Vivian smiles and tells Kate that she is totally responsible for his condition. Victor asks Vivian to step outside so he can talk with Kate alone, so she leaves. Kate apologizes for arguing with him last night and tells him she's sorry if she is responsible for this. Victor tells her that there was no setback, he is recovering and they have Vivian to thank for that. Victor explains everything to Kate, who feels guilty about Dr. Bryce, but asks if he's sure abut this? Victor thinks that Kate rather have him sick than have Vivian save him, and he refuses to let her talk bad about Vivian any longer. Kate accuses Vivian of taking advantage of him, but he says that Vivian only wants what is best for him. Victor tells Kate that he wants to think about their future. He tells her that when he's released he wants to go home with her to his family, but there will be some new ground rules. Victor informs Kate that he will be supervising Phillip, and the house will be run very differently. Kate says she wants the future to start right away, and picks up the phone.
Outside, Nicholas shows up and Vivian is all smiles. She plans on telling Victor that Kate threw herself at Nicholas and kissed him in order to get Victor to throw her out, but Nicholas refuses to allow his aunt to tell Victor what happened. Vivian becomes upset and asks Nicholas what he wants, Kate or Titan? Suddenly, the hospital is swarmed with reporters who have all sorts of questions for Vivian.
Nancy approaches a door, but can't seem to make herself knock on it. She pulls a picture of a baby out of her purse and asks herself how she can tell Craig that she had a daughter and gave her away? She tells herself she has to do this. She knocks, and enters when someone says yes. Inside the room she meets with Mrs. Rush. Mrs. Rush is glad that Nancy came back. Nancy says she only came back to make sure her daughter will be all right. Mrs. Rush says that her daughter needs the loving support of parents to nurture her talents, and finding a foster home for her has been difficult. She offers Nancy a form that would allow her to have her daughter back in her life. Nancy refuses to sign the papers because she wouldn't make a good parent. Mrs. Rush says it is her choice, and Nancy feels that she is being judged. She says it isn't the first time and recalls how her father told her that giving up her daughter the first time was for the best and that she'd bounce back. Nancy recalls how heart breaking it was to give up her daughter after holding her in her arms. Mrs. Rush tells Nancy that she sympathizes with her, she also had a daughter out of wedlock and gave her up for adoption. She says baby was placed in a loving adoptive home, but died of Leukemia. Nancy tells her that she's so sorry, and she realizes why Mrs. Rush is trying to talk her into taking her daughter back. Nancy tells Mrs. Rush it is different for her, her husband just wouldn't understand this. Nancy promises to make sure her father gives the girl everything she needs, but Mrs. Rush says money isn't everything. Nancy thinks her husband would never forgive her if he knew the truth, that is why she can't do this. Nancy says she has to go, but Mrs. Rush asks her if she wouldn't at least like to see her daughter? In Chloe's room, Chloe turns on the radio and begins to practice her singing some more as she moves her hands to keep time. Mrs. Rush and Nancy go to see Chloe, and Nancy is happy that they kept the name she gave her. Chloe is sitting in a chair with her back to Nancy, and us. She puts on some glasses, stands up, and turns around to see her mother.
At the mansion, Lucas tells Eric that he has to decide right now whether or not to come back to work at Titan. Eric remember Sami telling him that if he went back to work at Titan he could help her nail Lucas, Kate, and Nicole. He tells Lucas and Nicole that he'll take the job. Eric signs the contract and hands it to Lucas. Nicole thanks Lucas in private, but Lucas tells her that this was a very smart business decision. They both tell the other that they are lucky to have them. Lucas has to go out with Will, so he tells Nicole to enjoy her afternoon. Nicole goes back to see Eric and tells them that they should get to work. Eric thinks that Nicole is some piece of work and he realizes he never really knew her. Nicole tells him that is because guys like him don't marry girls like her. Eric says that is because he dumped her. Nicole informs Eric that she didn't dump him, she saved him. Eric asks her "save me from what?" Nicole tells him he is a great guy, but she would have broken his heart, which is why it is good they ended it. Eric tells her that she probably did save him, she saved him from marrying someone who could be sold to the highest bidder! Nicole says she hoped they could have had some more respect for one another because they used to be a great working team. She tries to get Eric to focus on work, but he tells her that he can't do this. Nicole asks if he's changed his mind about the job, but he says no. He says he just can't do this right now, so he leaves. Nicole pours herself a drink and tells herself that she has to make Eric forgive her if she can.
Lucas and Will go to the Java Cafe and run into Maggie. Will plays with a truck that Maggie bought him so Maggie and Lucas can talk. Maggie feels the need to nag that he hasn't attended a meeting in awhile, but Lucas thinks that he's not an alcoholic anymore, maybe he never was one. Maggie says that sounds familiar and tells him that he can't do this on his own. She wants him to come to a meeting with him this afternoon because he looks edgy, but Lucas says he has nothing to be edgy about because he has his son and a beautiful wife. He tells Maggie that his only problem right now is Sami, who won't sign the joint custody papers. Maggie tells Lucas that she was right, he is edgy! Lucas says if he is it is because he has a scheming Sami living under his roof trying to prove he and Nicole are unfit parents. Maggie tells Lucas that Sami may have her bad points, but she is a good mother. Lucas thinks that Maggie thinks Sami will win, but Maggie says that is not what she's saying. Maggie tells Lucas if he wants to win the court will want to see that he is on his best behavior, which means attending AA meetings. Lucas promises to call her, but she says she'll call him. Maggie leaves, and Lucas asks Will what he wants now? Will tells her "mommy."
Austin and Sami are watching a game on TV, but Sami isn't to excited about it. Austin tells her that "this" has got to stop. Sami asks what has got to stop? Austin says him being the insensitive couch potato watching football all day. Sami says she doesn't mind, they don't have plans or anything. Austin tells her that he wants to make plans, he wants to take her on a surprise date tonight. Sami hugs him and tells him that he's so wonderful. Austin then asks Sami to help him workout, which he hasn't been able to do for awhile. She says sure and asks what she has to do? He tells her to lay on top of him! Sami is shocked, but Austin says he is going to be his push-up resistance. Austin takes off his shirt and lies down on the ground, and Sami lies on top of him. Austin starts doing push-ups as Sami laughs. Sami starts tickling him, so he rolls over and grabs her to tickle her back. They soon end up kissing and rolling around on the floor. The two love birds have to stop when there is a knock at the door. The knock was Lucas, who opens the door to let Will run into his mom's arms. Lucas is a tad disturbed to find Sami with Austin, who is shirtless. Lucas says that Will wanted to see his mom, unless she and Austin would rather be alone? Lucas wants to take Will so his mom and Uncle Austin can play, but Sami says no and tells Will to say goodbye to his dad. Will says goodbye, and Lucas leaves. Austin tells Sami that his surprise date will have to be for three, and asks how he feels about Pokeman? Outside, Lucas tells Sami to enjoy her family, because it won't last for long.
Kate pages a doctor and tells him that she wants Victor released from the hospital so she can take him home where he belongs. The doctor tells Kate that he can't release Victor until Dr. Wesley gets the rest of the test results in. Both Victor and Kate plead for him to be released, and the doctor finally agrees on the condition that Victor returns if the test results show anything troublesome. A nurse comes in to dress Victor, so Kate excuses herself.
Back outside, Vivian catches Nicholas looking through the window in on Kate and Victor and wonders what he is doing. Nicholas says he's just waiting for the right time to go in and see Victor. Vivian says he's not waiting for Victor, he's waiting for Kate! Vivian learns from Victor's doctor that Victor's being released, which pleases her. She plans to make this release work for her somehow. She thinks for a minute, then pulls out her phone and calls Henderson. She tells him to drop everything, she needs him! Nicholas looks back into Victor's room and is troubled when he sees Kate fawning all over Victor. When Kate leaves Victors room so the nurse can dress him, Kate thanks Nicholas for being there for Victor and helping her stay strong. Nicholas tells her that he'll never forget their kiss last night. Kate simply walks away from him to sign Victor's release papers. Nicholas goes in to see Victor and congratulates Victor on his homecoming. Victor thanks him for everything and asks him to ride home with him and help him settle in.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Lucas sneaks up on Nicole and gives her a kiss. Lucas wants her to forget about work for the rest of the day and concentrate on themselves, so Nicole suggests they go upstairs.
Bo, Shawn, Roman, and Eric stop by the Brady Pub for family night. Phillip and his pack show up, and Shawn tells him to go "slum" somewhere else. Mimi and Belle show up as well, and Phillip teases Shawn about being John Travolta. Phillip and his friends sit down and start goofing on adults. Later he pulls Bo aside to talk to his half brother about borrowing five hundred dollars for a science project. Bo knows he's being conned and tells Phillip that he's more like Victor than he thought. Bo tells Phillip that he's not getting anything from him. Shawn warns Phillip not to use his family to save his own butt, but Phillip says he's his family too. Shawn tells "Phil" if he tries to get money from anyone in his family again then he might rat on him for gambling, and tell Belle about his bet. Phillip tells him not to worry, he won't bother the Brady's again. Phillip returns to his table, and Bo tells Phillip that their dad is out of the nursing home, so he should talk to his dad about his problem. Phillip is shocked to learn that his dad is at the hospital, so he tells his friends that he has to go. After Phillip leaves, Belle demands to know what Shawn said to Phillip. Shawn says he didn't say anything to Phillip and that she should stop taking her problems out on him. Belle apologizes to him. When she returns to her friends, Mimi asks Belle if she's trying to steal Shawn? Belle tells her to relax, she doesn't want Shawn, and Shawn doesn't want her. Alice shows up, and Grandpa Shawn tells everyone that the guest of honor is here. Alice looks around and doesn't see "Hope," so she tells Bo to go get her and drag her out of that hotel! Bo says that "Hope" is dead tired and needs to sleep. Later, Alice plans to wins five dollars back from Shawn which she lost to him playing poker at his last family gathering. Alice, Caroline, Shawn, and Bo sit down to play poker with Alice, who is sporting a green poker visor. Later, Bo gets a feeling that something is wrong with Hope. Bo gives "Hope" a call, and she insists that everything is fine. Meanwhile, Eric tells his dad that he's going back to work at Titan, which Roman is not pleased to hear. He asks Eric if he is nuts thinking about working with Nicole again? Roman tells Eric to let it go, don't get involved with Nicole again. He switches the subject to Greta, and he asks Eric how she is? Eric says she has been up and down lately trying to deal with her mom's death. Roman says he's sorry to hear that, and Eric says he plans to make sure he does everything he can to help her through it. Roman then warns Eric once more to stay away from Nicole.
Victor, Kate, and Nicholas arrive home at the Kiriakis Mansion and are surprised by Vivian and Henderson, as well as a bunch of guests, who have planned a welcome home party for him. She tells Victor that she's so relieved he is home, and gives him a little kiss on the cheek. Everyone welcomes Victor home, and Victor tells Lucas that he wants to meet his wife. Nicole is busy hiding from Victor, and Lucas has to drag her over to meet Victor. Suddenly, Phillip shows up to see his dad, after learning he was released from the hospital. Victor tells Phillip that he's going to make up for all the lost time. Later, Vivian brings in a cake for Victor, who thanks her. Kate grabs her and yanks her aside and asks her who in the hell she thinks she is planning this tacky party? Vivian says that Victor seems very appreciative of the party. Kate demands Nicholas get his aunt out of this house, but Victor overhears this and scolds Kate for treating Vivian in the manner she is, and he insists that she stay. Nicholas tells him that her play for Victor is a bit obvious, and Kate tells him that his play for Kate wasn't? Elsewhere, Victor tells Nicole that he knows all about her and she better behave herself, he'll make sure she is put back where she belongs, in the gutter!
Greta goes to the Horton house and finds that a package has been delivered to her. Inside is a wrapped gift.
In France, Gina calls Kurt in order to get some more information on Hope, but Kurt tells her that now is not a good time. Kurt and Hope are hiding out in the woods from the police. Hope doesn't understand why the police are chasing them, she is not that Princess. Kurt tells her that she's safe with him. Hope knows she was running before, but she doesn't know from whom. Kurt's phone rings again, and it is Gina. She is furious with Kurt for hanging up on her and she knows something is wrong with Hope. Kurt tells her that Hope is secure, just a little difficult to manage. Gina tells Kurt that he better keep Hope in that castle because from this day forward her identity belongs to her! Kurt understands his orders, and Gina hangs up on him. Hope asks Kurt if that was his boss again? Kurt says it doesn't matter, but Hope says it matters to her. She says she has had it with him keeping things from her, she wants to know what is going on, why are the police chasing them. Hope begs Kurt to help her. Suddenly, Hope remembers running through the same swamp earlier from Kurt, and having him grab her viscously. She looks at Kurt and tells him that she was ruining from him! Kurt says she did run from him, but it was after they lost their daughter and she was very upset. Hope remembers that it was more than running, she was hiding from both Kurt and the police. She tells Kurt that something more happened, she was trying to escape from someone. Suddenly, Hope bolts. Kurt grabs her and tells her to stop fighting her because the police are after her. Hope says it is for something she didn't do, but Kurt says they can't prove that to the police right now. He tells her that he is all she has, so she has to stay with him. Hope thinks that perhaps her mind is playing tricks on her, and she believes that he is all she has. She asks him to hold her, so he does. He tells her that he'll always be here for her, her past doesn't matter because he can give her a whole new life with him.
Back in Salem at the Salem Inn, Gina is sitting on her couch reading her copy of Hope's life, the manuscript version. There is a knock at the door, so she hides the book and blows some air freshener around to cover up the smoke. When she answers the door, Greta tells her mother that the game is over! The package she received earlier where chocolates from Paris, the type her mother sent to her, and she knows "Hope" sent them to her. Greta tells "Hope" that she doesn't need her pretending to be her mother and using Gina comments to make her feel better about herself. Greta accuses "Hope" of holding onto her mother's memories and using them to mess with her mind. Gina tells Greta that she's only trying to help her and fill the void in her life. Greta tells "Hope" that she can't fill it, but Gina says she is wrong and that there is something she's been trying to tell her for a long time. Greta doesn't want to hear anything "Hope" has to say to her. Gina tells Greta to trust her, she wants to help her. Greta tells "Hope" that right now she feels alone, scared, aching for her mother. Greta tells "Hope" that she used to remember sitting in the dark praying her mom would come to her in the Bayou, but she never did. However, she says her mother did come to her in France, but it was just a dream. Gina tells Greta that her dream is about to come true. Greta asks "Hope" what she is saying? Gina tells Greta that her dream of her mother's return is no longer a dream, her mother has come back to her. Greta tells "Hope" that she is not her mother, she may have her mother's thoughts and memories, but not her heart and soul. Gina tells Greta a story about when they first moved to France and how she had such a hard time adjusting. Greta says this is just another story, so Gina asks Greta to look inside of her and see who she is. Gina tells her that all she ever meant to do is love her, not hurt her. Gina's phone rings, so she answers it. It is Bo calling to make sure his "Fancyface" is okay. Gina tells him that she's fine, she was just sleeping when the phone rang. He tells her to go back to bed and that he loves her. Greta asks "Hope" why she lied to Bo? Gina tells her that she didn't want him calling back and disturbing them, because tonight will be the night that changes both of their lives forever. Greta asks how their lives will change? Gina tells her that she knows, she's just to afraid to accept it. Greta says this isn't possible, but Gina says it is, and calls her "Mon petit choux." Greta cries, and Gina tells her that she never stopped loving her. Greta cries out "Mother?" Gina nods and wipes away Greta's tears.
