Garland Woodrow Mathis

Garland Woodrow Mathis was born on 14 November 1916 to Phillip Sheridan Mathis and Gladys (Hamblin) Mathis

in their home in Harrison County, Missouri.

 

On an unknown date garland married and unknown woman in Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri, USA.

this union begot 8 children including Marilyn Carl, Garland Arthur, Stanley, Una, Joan Sue and Jack Ray. This union led to

divorce at an unknown place and time.

 

Later on an unknown date in an unknown place Garland married Lucile Marie Edwards.  This union created Margaret Irene, Peggy Lou,

Phillip Sheridan, and Marjorie Marie

 

Garland Woodrow Mathis passed away on 25 September, 2005 at the age of 88 due to old age in Liberty, Clay County, Missouri.  Garland's remains

rest in Harrison County, Missouri along side his mother and father.  

 

Garland was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  Durring his lifetime Garland was a farmer, truck driver, mechanic, cheese maker, road grader and held other various jobs.  In addition Garland was the supervisor for both the Bethany power and water treatment plants Bethany, Missouri for many years.
