The sole radio station based in Chatham County, WNCA signed on August 19th,1952. WNCA has long been a local voice of Siler City, Pittsboro and the Chatham County community. In 2007, the 1,000-watt WNCA boosted its daytime power to 5,000 watts, allowing for somewhat better reception in the Research Triangle area.
