 Great compilation (though I always thought The Bee Gees and Olivia New John were Australia, while Them were from Ireland) ... A double album, 28 track compilation, "The History of British Rock, Volume Three" pulled together a diverse set of hits and obscurities covering material from the early-'60s through the early-'70s. Among the more interesting obscurities were David Bowie and the Lower Third's "Can't Help Thinkin' About Me", The Beatles backing Tony Sheridan on "My Bonnie" and Cream's "Anyone for Tennis". For a double album set the LPs sold well, peaking at #145. (The set was originally released with a gatefold sleeve and a biographical insert.) Anyone ever seen or heard volumes 1 and 2?
