| How can someone say that they love you and it was destiny Then turn around do this thing and say �But it meant nothing to me� For to me true love means saving yourself body and soul So that only that special one shares all the secrets that you hold My heart now has a brand new crack but she is not to blame I just hope that she realizes, my heart can�t play any silly game I gave it to her wanting her to see the true love we could share And I know she�s feeling lost, dazed, confused, and scared I can�t tell her again that the news she told me didn�t hurt I couldn�t face myself, or bring my eyes up to meet her I�m dealing with it better today than the day before I�m betting with my heart and I�ve opened up wide it�s door I don�t want to ever have to build a wall like so many other times I�ve used all my wishes, hopes, prayers and offered up all my dreams For true Love had hidden away from me for so long in time And I hope that she sees all the signals, whistles, and signs The ones that brought us together through destiny and fate And to recognize that to keep my heart, it�s not too late Treat it with love, respect, trust, care, and dignity And with time, I promise she will get the best of me I will try to remain understanding through everything she sends my way Always answering the questions, searching my heart for the words to say Just to let her know how much she really means to my world and me Wishing everyday that when she looks in my eyes my love she will see It�s there for only her, mind, body, and soul Honest and true it will remain, and will not roam Residing in my heart as long as I see myself in her eye Even if it means staying for the rest of my life Darrin L.
