| The Conflict Sitting here I realize how much I care I wonder if I was to give my heart would it be fair Can I trust these feelings that I have inside Or will they just show themselves then run and hide Wanting so desperately to love you with all I have To hold you, touch you, care for you at last I cannot make promises that are not certain For only God knows the end at the final curtain I look deeply into your eyes hoping you�ll see I am true But my heart and mind tell me conflicting things to do I wonder if what you say is real I ponder all the things you must feel Conflict in your heart telling you to stay A struggle in your mind telling you to run away So much to lose, so much you may gain Would you chance going through the rain Would you take a chance for love and happiness For the sweet return of a man�s caress Could I chance another broken heart Would I be willing to make a brand new start My heart is screaming �Go after her� Love her, cherish her, live happily ever after My mind keeps yelling, �Be careful you fool� You know all to well what broken love can do I want to be in her heart if she�ll have me But I ask, is that�s what�s meant to be She controls my thoughts everyday She�s there, in everything I do and say How long will I wait for love to show To be fair I can only say, �I don�t know� Does she want me as I do her If so, I�d say I�d wait forever Darrin L.
