[Scene opens to a lively night club. The club is about average size with tables toward one end of the building and the dance floor on the opposite site. The two sections are divided by a set of stairs and a railing. The club is fairly dark except for the flashing lights, especially around the dance floor. Several men and women are gathered on the floor dancing to the blaring techno music. The booming speakers blast the bass at a steady rhythm. Despite the active dance floor the seating area is a bit more subtle and sparsely populated. The scene finally arrives at a table towards the back where Slash Tannon and Erin Blade are comfortably seated. Erin is decked out in a pair of tight black low cut leather pants that lace up on the sides a black leather halter top that laces up in the front and cuts off at the naval. Her club attire is completed with her pair of black leather boots and her red thong barely peeking above her low cut leather pants at either side. Her flowing locks of red hair are worn loose and straight and show signs of refined management. Tannon on the other hand wears a dark navy button up collared shirt and a pair of black pants. He wears a black leather jacket over his navy shirt and straightens it before wrapping his arm back around Erin. Erin reaches for her drink on the table and brings her luscious lips to the mouth of the glass to take a drink. Finale does the same.]

Tannon: [As they set down their drinks.] Ahhhh...that hits the spot. How's your drink baby?

Erin: [Laughs.] It’s so good! [Kisses Tannon on the lips.] Mmmmm, you taste better though.

Tannon: [Breaks a smile.] Heh, I know. So you like the place or what?

Erin: Quaint. I dunno. It’s kind of nice getting some privacy. [Cuddles closer to Tannon.]

Tannon: Yeah, I agree. I like the set up they got here.

Erin: And you can’t beat the drinks that’s for damn sure! [Takes another swig.]

Tannon: Whoa, I planned on getting my freak on on the dance floor before the end of the night. Alcohol and dancing is like Gwenivere Jordan and catholic school, just doesn’t go well together.

[Erin spurts out in an obvious buzzed laughter.]

Erin: Are you ready for David Nistiero? I mean you have been working out every night.

Tannon: [Bites his lips and smirks at Erin.] Yeah and I got the best trainer around!

[They meet in a passionate kiss. Erin, breaking from the kiss, slaps Tannon in the chest.]

Tannon: Umph. What!?

Erin: I’m not talking about that, Hornball! I’m talking about how you’ve been going to the gym nearly every day.

Tannon: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just feel this push coming shortly. I have a feeling things are gonna start getting interesting.

Erin: Yea I bet that they are. [Takes a drink.]

Tannon: Soon I’ll be headed up the ranks on my way to the top of SW where I belong and that begins by showing Nistiero what Total Impact is.

Erin: [Downs the rest of her drink.] I need a refill.

Tannon: I think you’ll need a stomach pump if you keep this up.

Erin: Shut up! I can handle my liquor bitch! [Playfully hits Tannon.]

Tannon: Okay, whatever you say.

[Erin begins to scoot away from her seat next to Tannon and to her feet. She stumbles and bursts out laughing as she hunches over and catches her balance. She looks up and grabs Tannon’s hand.]

Erin: I want to dance.

[Tannon silently exits the booth as Erin tries pulling him to his feet. Tannon stands up and Erin drags him to the dance floor. The make their way through the crowd until they find an open spot and Erin raises her arms as she begins to dance. Tannon stares at her with a smirk.]

Erin: [Shouts.] Come on! Dance!

[Tannon breaks a smile as he grooves side to side with his shoulders. Erin wraps an arm around his neck and grinds against him. She slides down the front side of him and stops with her face right at his waist. She gets to her feet again and Tannon wraps an arm around her waist and reaches around and places the other on her rear. She continues to grind against him as the song continues. She leans up close to the side of his head and nibbles on his ear. Tannon smiles as he places both hands on her cheeks. Erin breaks away from him and struts her stuff. Tannon looks on, obviously enjoying himself. Erin wraps her arms around Tannon’s neck again and sways from side to side. Tannon barely moves as Erin continues. She turns around with her back pressing up against Tannon’s chest and begins to move her hips. Tannon takes her around the waist. The song hits a transmission point and the rhythm begins to change. Erin spins off Tannon and smiles at him she takes his hand and pulls him off the dance floor. They return to their table after picking up two more drinks.]

Erin: That was fun!

Tannon: You’re tellin me!

Erin: Baby, I gotta go freshen up. I’ll be right back okay? [Kisses Tannon on the cheek.]

[Tannon smiles and sits in at the table and takes a drink. Erin, meanwhile, walks off toward the other side of the club. She walks into the ladies room and looks at herself in the mirror. She brushes a few loose strands of hair from her face and checks her hair. She turns her head as she peers into the mirror. She checks her make up and opens her black leather purse. She pulls out a tube of lipstick and begins applying it to her lips. She makes one final check in the mirror before turning to leave. She slips the lipstick back into her purse as she exits the ladies room. A large man approaches her standing about 6’9”. He wears a black polo shirt and a pair of khaki pants. He has a goatee and a kind face with dark brown eyes. He smiles as he approaches Erin. Erin busy with her purse runs into the robust man.]

Man: Oh, please excuse me. I am a bit clumsy.

Erin: [Looks up at the man and breaks a smile.] No, I’m sorry entirely my fault.

Man: Hi, my name is Mark. [He extends his hand.]

Erin: Hello Mark, I’m Erin.

[She extends her hand. The man takes her hand and kisses it. Erin giggles as she brings her hand back.]

Mark: I can’t help but notice you’re very beautiful. I love your hair.

Erin: [Begins to blush.] Awww thanks Mark.

Mark: [Smiles kindly.] Say you wouldn’t happen to be here with someone would you?

Erin: [Bites her lip partially.] Actually yeah, I’m here with my boyfriend. He’s sitting…[Looks around Mark searching to point out her table with Tannon and stumbles.]

Mark: [Catching her and laughs.] Whoa, it looks like you’ve been having a good time tonight. Say, you wouldn’t happen to know where I could find a good hotel? I’m from out of town and I don’t know the city that well. I need a place to stay tonight. Would you mind giving me some directions?

Erin: I guess so. I don’t know how well I’ll be able to help you. You know the rowed…[Begins to laugh as her speech begins to slur.] Rowed this club is on. Take that, uhh…[Ponders a moment.] north until you reach…uh what’s that street called?

Mark: [Laughs.] Actually, I have a map in my car. Would you mind coming to take a look at it with me? I think a bit of fresh air would do you some good too.

Erin: [Laughs.] Yeah I agree.

[They begin to walk towards the door before Erin stops.]

Erin: Just a moment, I’m going to go tell my boyfriend I’ll be…

[Mark takes a hold of her arm and looks into her eyes.]

Mark: [Smiles an innocent smile.] Oh, we’ll only be gone a moment. He won’t even notice, I promise. It seems like hours before my girlfriend ever leaves the ladies room.

Erin: [Looks back towards her table with a slightly doubtful look.] Um…alright, I suppose. Yeah it takes a little bit of time to look this good!

[They begin to walk out of the club.]

Mark: [Without looking at her and still having a hold on her arm.] Oh believe me, you’re looking perfect. Just perfect.

Erin: [As she gets her hand stamped.] So, what do you do for a living Mark?

Mark: [Doesn’t look at her as they walk out into the parking lot.] I uhh…sell insurance…

Erin: Do you like that?

Mark: [His tone changes.] Yeah whatever.

Erin: [She stumbles a bit and Mark drags her along.] Whoa, slow down! I’m a little plastered here!

[Mark doesn’t respond keeping his eyes focused forward.]

Erin: What’cha in town for anyways?

Mark: I guess you could say this visit is just for pleasure.

Erin: I could use a vacation too! Wooo! I’d love to go to Hawaii…or Cancun…

[They reach a silver 2003 Chrysler Sedan and Mark unlocks his doors from his remote and starts up the car as well.]

Erin: That’s your car? [Laughs.] You must be a family man or something.

[Mark opens the front door and pushes Erin forward into the car.]

Erin: Hey! I can get in myself!

[Mark frowns as he looks around the parking lot before climbing into his car and putting the key in the ignition. He shifts gears and looks behind him preparing to back out. Erin slaps his shoulder.]

Erin: Hey what are you doing? I thought you wanted me to take a look at that map. Where are you going? [Her voice rises with concern.]

Mark: [His eyes get wide and sweat begins to glisten on his forehead.] Umm…I thought maybe you could just…show me the way to a hotel and I could just drive you back. [Gives a quick laugh.] I’m really bad with directions.

Erin: No, I don’t want to leave. I said I’d give you directions but I have to get back into the club, my boyfriend…

Mark: [Cutting her off and forcefully shifting gears back into park. He looks at her with a completely different expression his eyes are blazing and his tone is aggressive] Listen to me! You’re going to stay in this car unless I tell you so. Just sit down and shut the fuck up!

[Erin’s eyes open wide as she gasps. She slaps Mark in the face and turns toward her door scrambling to unlock her door. Mark holds his cheek and grabs her by the back of the head as well as a handful of hair. He smashes Erin’s face into the dashboard.]

Mark: SHUT UP!!!

[Erin begins to cry as she holds her mouth. Erin moves her hand from her face to see that she is bleeding. Mark sits breathing heavily. Erin quickly drops down and tries unlocking her door again. Mark grunts as he struggles to grab her head again. He grabs her by the hair again and she shrieks. Mark begins to tug back on her hair. Suddenly the glass on Mark’s side window shatters. Shards of glass fly into the car as Erin screams and Mark shields himself. Mark turns his face toward the broken glass and a large golden pole flies through the now broken window into the face of Mark. Mark screams out in agony as Erin finally unlocks the door and darts out of the vehicle. Still feeling the effects of the alcohol she trips on her way out and hits the pavement hard falling face first. A figure rushes to her from the other side of the car. It’s Tannon.]

Tannon: Erin! Erin! Are you alright!? Baby!?

[He carries with him a large golden pole from inside the club used to rope off areas. He kneels down beside her and turns her over. Blood trickles out of her nose and her cheeks and mouth are covered in blood. The salty tears mix with her crimson blood as they stream down her face. Tannon’s face turns white as he looks at her with concern. Tears begin to well up in his eyes.]

Tannon: Oh God, are you alright Erin?

[Erin looks up at him and gives a small sad smile.]

Erin: Slash…I’m…sorry.

Tannon: [He holds Erin close to his chest and takes her head up carefully.] Shhh…it’s alright. I’m the one who should be sorry. I should have got here sooner.

[Tannon turns his head as he hears sounds of movement from within the sedan. He turns back to Erin.]

Tannon: Erin, I have to take care of this. [He slips off his leather jacket, folds it up and pushes it under her head delicately.] Hold still baby, I’ll be right back. Don’t move. I love you. [He kisses her forehead as she winces in pain.]

[Tannon stands up slowly and turns around. With his eyes blazing in rage. He clenches his teeth as he wipes Erin's blood from his mouth. He looks towards the sedan as the bulky man steps out of the car. He rises to his feet and stands at full height. He peers around with one eye swollen shut and half his face covered in blood. He turns his head around and notices Tannon. He glares at him and marches around the car towards him. He attempts to wipe the blood from his face but makes more of a mess in the process. Blinded by rage he draws closer to Tannon, who still clutches the pole.]

Mark: You're gonna wish you never did that you son of a…

[Tannon doesn’t hesitate as he dashes forward swinging the pole with full force at Mark’s head. Mark dodges it and jacks Tannon in the face with one of his massive fists. Tannon stumbles back. Mark hits Tannon in the face again. Tannon stumbles back again, backing up into a parked station wagon. Mark swings again but Tannon sidesteps it. Mark’s fist breaks through the back window of the car. He screams out in pain as he tenderly pulls his hand from inside the car. Tannon turns the man around forcefully, ripping Mark’s hand from the broken window. Tannon slugs Mark repeatedly in the face. Tannon knees Mark in the gut several times before taking a hold of Mark by his shirt. He pulls him from the back of the car and pulls him around to the front end of a pickup parked next to the car with the now broken rear window. Tannon uses the momentum of the throw to slam Mark’s head into the front grill of the pick up. Mark’s head bounces off the grill as he stumbles back. Tannon grabs a hold of Mark and prepares to repeat the process. Mark is able to put the breaks on and grab Tannon. He spins in a circle and tosses Tannon into the windshield of the pickup. The windshield cracks slightly but the alarm on the pickup begins to sound. Mark grabs Tannon by the foot and yanks him off the pickup. Mark wipes some of the blood away from his forehead. He kicks Tannon hard in the gut.]

Mark: Ha…you must be the boyfriend. Nice meeting you.

[He delivers another swift kick to Tannon’s abdominal region and begins to laugh.]

Mark: Out of three women already this year, this is the only one I’ve had problems with. Well, I guess we’re just going to have to work this one out won’t we?

[Mark kicks Tannon for a third time sending Tannon rolling over the pavement, toward the station wagon with the broken windshield. Tannon struggles to get to his feet as Mark stands at his full height. He stalks Tannon who makes his way up the backside of the station wagon minding to keep his hands clear of the broken glass. Tannon’s lip is split open and his left cheek is badly bruised. His nose bleeds as well as a gash on the side of his face. Tannon holds his stomach as he makes it to his feet. He rests his forehead on his hand on the back of the station wagon peering into the trunk of the station wagon. Mark looks towards Erin and smiles.]

Mark: How did someone like you land a beauty like Erin? I bet you haven’t even been to third base with her! You’re nothing but a kid! Don’t worry I’ll take good care of her. She won’t remember a thing, I promise! None of the other ones did anyways!

[Tannon quickly shoves his fist through the rest of the broken glass and reaches into the trunk. Mark frowns and charges towards him. Tannon quickly pulls out his arm from inside the car grasping a hold of something and rolls around with his back against the car. Mark collides with Tannon and the crunching of glass can be heard beneath Tannon as well as a gasp from Mark. Mark’s eyes grow wide as Tannon stands between the large man and the station wagon. Mark loses his balance and his head falls against Tannon’s shoulder. Mark stumbles back to reveal a crow bar embedded in his stomach region a few inches. His black polo shirt soon becomes saturated in blood in that area as he looks down at the crow bar. Tannon limps toward Mark and shouts as he rips the crow bar from Mark’s body. Mark’s jaw flies open and he screams. He hunches down slightly and cups his hands over the wound. Tannon clenches his teeth again before rearing back the crow bar. He shouts as he swings the crow bar again one-handed. It connects across Mark’s shoulder. Mark screams out once again. Tannon repeatedly bashes away at Mark with the crow bar in hand until Mark collapses to his knees and falls in a heap at the feet of Tannon. Tannon continues to swing away before a man catches his arm from behind. Tannon spins around with fury still brewing inside him. The man has a dark complexion, with short black hair, cleanly shaven and wearing a maroon button up shirt and dress slacks. His eyes grow wide as he backs off.]

Man: Whoa! I just saw what happened! It’s alright the woman is going to be alright, I just called for help. I saw the whole thing.

[Tannon breathes heavily as he drops the crowbar to the cement next to Mark’s limp body. It clanks against the ground, echoing throughout the nearly abandoned car lot mixing in with the beeping from the pickup’s car alarm. Tannon simply glares at the man as he walks away from the scene towards Erin. Sirens are heard in the background as Tannon kneels beside Erin on the pavement. A couple of police cars as well as an ambulance arrive on the scene. Scene fades.]
