[They came closer, stalking me like I was their prey. Everything from my forehead, to my palms began to sweat. I was more than worried, I was terrified. These kids could dismember me if they chose to do so, but I couldn't go anywhere. I was trapped like a wolf in the trap, except I didn't have the option to gnaw my foot off to get out of this situation, but if I had that option I would have done it.]
[Both groups were now about ten feet away from me, and as they came closer they began to form a circle around me. Now I was really trapped. Hans had trained me well in one on one combat, but what I was looking at I was no where near ready to go up against. I had been hurt by a group of kids once before, and it wasn't something I was ready to go up against again. The only thing that differed in this situation was that these kids were bigger, and one of them, Kip, was one of the best boxers around these parts.]
[As they closed in to about five feet from me, encircled around me, I clenched my fists tight. Tight enough to where my tan knucles were turning white, and even some shades of red. The kids were smirking, but why wouldn't they? I mean, they had nothing to worry about. There was no way that a sixteen year old boy could take on six guys. With fists that is. I quickly looked around my surroundings. I franticly looked for a weapon, an equalizer.]
[But to no avail there was nothing. I wasn't surprised, and other than a few bums there was no one around, and they weren't going to help me. Sure, they were staring in my direction, but who in their right mind would help me? They didn't know me, and there's no reason for them to get beat up. Especially for a kid they didn't know. I tried to yell for help, to scream, anything would have been good, but I couldn't. Shear, and utter fear swept across my body.]
[Head to toe I was filled with fear. My heart was racing, and their silence was deafining. They exchanged glances, and smirks of evil. They were the very essence of evil. I don't know why my life worked out this way. How unlucky could I be? I should be in the gym right now training to fight Kip, but instead I didn't use my head, and I'm out here getting ready to fight Kip and his gang.]
'The old man isn't around now star so we can...Talk.' Kip said.
[His gang laughed. Why were they laughing? I didn't find any bit of what he said funny. Not a single one of those kids had an ounce of remorse for me. I knew if they decided to pounce not a single one of them would try and get the rest of them to stop. I mean, why would they? They'd be in the same situation as I was in. They'd be in tremendous pain, laying next to a kid they didn't know, and for what? Trying to stick up for a kid they didn't know? It wasn't worth it, I knew it, and they knew it.]
'You gonna talk?' Kip taunted.
[I wanted to, but I couldn't. My bottom lip was quivering, and my clenched fists were shaking. I was scared. I again realized that my nose bleed was still going as the crimson substance flowed down my face, over my lips, and off my chin, splashing roughly against the ground making small pools of blood. Kip surveyed my face, watching the blood flow he let out a smile.]
'Looks like someone already did the job, eh star?' Kip asked.
[Again silence filled the area. It seemed as if the whole world had stopped. I didn't hear the usual honking of the horns, or the rude city people calling out obscene words, and throwing around rude gestures. There wasn't even a bird flying in the sky, and with my luck if I saw a bird it'd be a crow, or a vulture. The birds of death, but lucky for me vultures didn't live in the city. Not this city anyways. Birds that big don't like other things as big as themselves so they stick to hot, dry climates, and open areas such as deserts.]
[But at this moment my luck was so bad I wouldn't be surprised if one of the large winged creatures flew above my head, swooping down inserting it's large beak of death in my rough, tan skin. Drawing even more blood than these kids could.]
'Are you going to answer me?' Kip yelled.
[He was no longer smirking. His facial expression was filled with anger. Shear hatred for me. I just wished whatever they were going to do, they'd do it, and get it over with, but instead they decided to stick around and taunt me for awhile. Leaving my mind pondering the ideas of what they were going to do or what could happen at the drop of a hat. Kip stepped closer to me, but his group stood still. He got in my face, and with four fingers lunged into my shoulder. His force was great, far superior to my own, but even I knew that if, and when Kip and I met in the ring it would not be a test of strength or a battle of power, for if it was I'd surely lose. My quickness, and wits was what would win the match for me.]
'Can't you just leave me alone?' I questioned.
[But I knew the answer. I didn't even have to ask. The six of them looked at eachother and then burst out in laughter. Their laughing taunted me, my breathing became heavy. I saw my breath rise up into the air as it touched the cool, damp air. I didn't look at any of the hyenna like boys, instead I looked at the tall building I was standing next to. It's brick exterior was getting old, and pieces were chaffing off the sides, and fallings towards the ground. Holes, and dents were lay victom into the side of the brick, and cement building, but how they got there was beyond me. I could honestly care less though, all I was wondering about was whether I got out alive or not. Finally the laughing calmed down, and Kip stepped even closer to me. His breath stunk like cigarettes, and stale coffee. A deadly mixture in my eyes.]
'Now why would I do that?' He hissed and nudged me again.
'I say we just pound him.' A long haired boy said.
[I shot a glance over in his direction. When I looked at him his smirk fell from his face, and shattered. Although he was surrounded by his friends fear went down his spine, probably giving him instant goose bumps. He looked straight at me, he didn't even dare to blink. He probably thought that if he were to blink I'd lay a left hook upside his head, but I didn't have the guts for that. Not me. For if I did lunge at him I'd have to deal with Kip and the other four.]
'That's not such a bad idea.' Kip said.
[I looked over at him, shooting him the same stare I did to the other long haired boy. It didn't effect Kip in the least. If anything he probably look at it as a challenge. He cracked his knuckles, and then, with one swift motion cracked his neck. He didn't use his hand, all he did was move his head. The crack that rang out was sickening. It sounded bone crunching. It made me quiver. I was now again feeling like the long hair kid did when I shot him that stare. I was now again in his shoes.]
[But what happened next was a complete miracle. At the edge of the alley there was proof that miracles did happen. I wasn't the only one to see it. The other boys saw it as well. Kip especially.]
'L-l-l-lets get out of here. This kids not even worth it.' Kip managed to say.
[The other kids, facing towards the end of the alley began backing up, and when they got about ten feet away from me turned and ran. I watched them for a few seconds, but then turned back towards the other side, and I too began to ran, but in the opposite direction of them. I ran towards my miracle, I ran towards my good friend, and trainer. I ran towards Hans...]
[I didn't care about my pride or any of that garbage at that moment. All I cared about was getting into that beat up old station wagon and getting out of harms way. I figured any training Hans made me do at the gym would be alot less painful than fighting six kids at one time. Once I got closer to the car I noticed that in the front seat next to Hans sat Stacy. She looked relieved to see that I was alright. As I got next to the car I stopped running, and began to walk. Almost the entire lower portion of my face had been soaked with the crimson fluid known as blood. It was for the most part dried.]
[I got to the back door, and opened it. I reluctantly climbed inside and pulled the squeaky door shut. Not a word was spoken, Hans just popped the car into reverse and backed out... When we finally reached the gym I was ready to collapse. I had a long day, and there was still dried blood lingering on the front of my shirt. A shower sounded good, in fact, it sounded better than good. It sounded great. So as I opened the squeaky door of the station wagon, and stepped out onto the street I realized that Hans again saved me, and realized I had some what of a guardian angel, not one hanging above me, but one walking around, a living, breathing guardian angel.]
[I looked over at Hans and shot him a smile. He seemed surprised as he lifted his eyebrow and gave me and odd stare. I then turned my head towards the ground and walked into the gym, which surprisingly he left unlocked.]
'He must have left in a hurry.' I thought to myself.
[I didn't give it much more thought as I walked into the gym, and towards the back to where the bathroom was. When I got in there I closed the door, and locked it. I grabbed my towel from the rack and hung it over the shower curtain rail. I undressed, and then reached my hand into the shower, turning the water on I stepped in. It was warm, just the way I liked it. As the water his me, some of the blood trickled down my body, and into the tub. I liked to call this shower, my 'Psycho' shower scene...]
