[The camera faded in to show the Penthouse of Slash Tannon. A group of a half dozen men in black suits were seen lugging boxes out as the door to the penthouse opened and Slash Tannon walked in. He was dressed in a pair of dark jeans, dark hiking boots, a navy blue muscle shirt and his usual black trench coat. He also wore his normal silver wraparound sunglasses and carried a large black duffle bag in his right hand. He motioned for one of the men to walk with him, tossing his duffle bag onto one of the plush leather couches before walking over to the mini-bar near the fireplace and pouring himself a drink.]
Tannon (taking a sip of his scotch): Any problems with your assignment Kyle?
Kyle (speaking quickly): No sir, even as we speak the last of Ms. Styles personal possessions are being evicted from the premises.
Tannon (nodding as he drinks): The eventual destination for the items?
Kyle: A bonfire in the heart of Calgary, as per your request Mr. Tannon.
Tannon (smirking as he turns to Kyle): Goodgood.
Kyle: Umthe dog on the couchwhat do you want us to do with it?
Tannon (turning to see Erin's puppy, Madison lying peacefully on the sofa): Ill keep the dog and the picture on the mantle, but I want everything else of hers burned.
[Kyle nods and makes his way back to help the others drag the items out. Tannon walks over to the mantle and picks up the picture that stood there. He then walked over to the couch and sat down next to Madison, letting his left hand pet her back lightly. The camera zoomed in to show the picture as that of Slash Tannon and Erin Styles on their couch, Erin sitting on Tannon's lap with her arms around his neck. The two were smiling and seemed, at the moment, very happy.]
Tannon (speaking quietly): Oh how quickly something can change. She was so happy in this picture, having just settled into the home that she thought would be ours. Thenjust days ago, she was crawling across the snow begging me to keep her. She was begging me to give her a second chance, willing to do anything for me to just love her one more time. She went from appearing to be life, my love and my world and I showed her what she truly wasa little slut not worthy of my time or my money.
[He softly pets Madison as the puppy stretches its little body across Tannon's lap.]
Tannon (speaking softly to Madison): Your mommy did not realize that she was just a quick fix for mea toy that I could amuse myself with when I was bored. I have to admit though, I will miss some things about her. Not the smile or the care and love that she showed me. No, I am gonna miss her becausedamn, that bitch could take it better than any woman I have been with.
[He lets out a laugh as a few minutes pass and Kyle makes his way back into the penthouse, standing at attention in front of Tannon.]
Kyle (speaking to Tannon after Tannon nodded for him to speak up): Sir, all the possessions of Erin Styles has been removed from the premises except for the items on the list you gave us.
Tannon (nodding as he runs his hand behind Madisons ears): Read the list off to me Kyle.
Kyle (taking a small sheet of paper from his pocket and reading from it): one picture currently on the mantle above the fireplace, one golden retriever puppy named Madison and all personal effects of said puppy, one gold chain worn by Slash Tannon and one long black, backless silk dress from the closet of Erin Styles.
Tannon (nodding as Kyle finishes): Do you have the dress?
Kyle (handing the long dress to Tannon): Right here sir.
Tannon (taking the dress in the hand not petting the dog): Good, what of everything else that she owned.
Kyle: The ashes of everything else that she owned or possessed have been dumped over the dock and into the Bow River as you requested. There is nothing left sir.
Tannon: Good, goodyou are excused Kyle, shut the door on your way out.
[Kyle nods and quickly leaves the penthouse, shutting the door behind him as Tannon leans forward, pausing his petting of Madison and looking at the dress for a moment.]
Tannon (to Madison as he looks at the dress): She looked so good in this dress, her tan skin matching it just right. I can still smell her sweet scent on it.
[He inhales deeply, taking in the lingering reminder of Erin.]
Tannon (looking at Madison for a moment): Your mommy looked so sweet taking this thing off. She wanted it so badly, to show me how much she loved me. Its a pity she never realized until it was too late that all she ever was too me was a body to screw.
[Without saying a word he leans forward and tosses the dress into the open fireplace, the dress immediately catching fire and beginning to burn. As he watches it burn he takes the picture of him and Erin and carefully moves it from hand to hand, in deep thought the whole time.]
Tannon (looking at the picture): She was so naive and love-struck by me that she never realized that I could never truly care for her, that I was playing her for the fool that she was.
[Again, he paused before throwing the picture into the fire, watching as the flames licked their way through the glass and metal and paper until the face of Erin Styles erupted into flames and quickly dissipated into ashes at the bottom of the fireplace. Tannon watched the picture fade away into the fire, before reaching up and touching the chain that Erin had given him gingerly.]
Tannon (speaking slowly to Madison who seemed to listen very intently): She gave this to me with the intent that I would love her forever. She probably spent so much money on it, just to make me happyjust so I would know how much I loved her. Too badcause nownow, she and I are truly over.
[He slowly stands up and walks over to where the fire blazes. He rips the gold chain from his neck and then pauses before he slowly tosses the chain into the fire and then picks up his scotch from the mantle, sipping it slowly as he watches the chain burn. After a few minutes the fire begins to die down a bit as Tannon turns and makes his way up the stairs.]
Tannon (calling back): Come on Madison.
[The dog jumps up and scampers its tiny body up the steps after Tannon as the camera turns to show the last remnants of the face of Erin Styles burning to ash in the fire before fading to black.]
