3 lakh individuals spread across 4 districts of Tehri,

Literacy programs:
NFE: This consists of a batch of 30
students each. 10 such centers
will be started. This will be in the villages
where children are not going to regular schools.
The teachers for this will be trained on site for 7 days. There will
be one teacher per center.
Project-Based Education (PBE): Here modules and kits are developed in different topics related with science, math and social science. This is to supplement the education given in schools. Emphasis is more on learning in a practical way
Technical Education (Training): To impart the skills needed to earn a living Total : 80 children.
Functional Literacy: Functional litercy means that a person is educated to the extent that he/she can carry out the basic economic transactions as opening, signing bank accounts, carrying out the daily transactions etc. Total: 200 adults.
Program for adolescents: To conduct self-management and self-awareness
programs for 100 adolescents through 10 peer groups.
Mobile Library: The villages lie deep in the mountains and the
rough terrain compounds the inaccessibility. The mobile library would
take the literary resources...magazines, newspapers, and
textbooks to the villages. Total: 5 mobile units
