Do I sacrifice myself to produce?
Do I love with a love that is Christ-like and true,
Am I giving my best for His use?
I wonder do I pray half as much as I should,
Always seeking for souls that are lost?
Do I forget myself as I labor for Christ,
Or stop and consider the cost?
I wonder do I have the faith that I should,
In my life does it shine like a light?
Even though storm clouds are dark overhead,
Does it always hold fast through the night?
I wonder does love for my Lord always show,
Is it there for the world to behold?
Does the light that I see in my Saviour and Lord,
Shine forth from the depth of my soul?
Is there gentleness, meekness, goodness and love,
Showing forth in the things that I do?
Am I calm and peaceful, and long-suffering too,
With patience to those that are rude?
Lord, a fruit-bearing Christian, is what I would be,
Help me sacrifice myself to produce;
To love with a love that is Christ-like and true,
To surrender my all for Thy use.
Will Jesus say "well done my child"
When the gates of home swing open for me?
Though you've had trials and troubles on earth,
You've proven that your love is true.
I wonder will I see someone looking for me,
To thank me for showing them the way.
Will loved one's be waiting to greet me up there,
Because they saw Jesus in me?
