Just for all my sin,
He would have suffered
On Calvary until the end.
The soldiers would have put
A crown of thorns upon His head.
They would have scourged Him
Until He was nearly dead.
They would have made Him carry the cross
To the place where He would die.
They would have spit upon Him
As He passed them by.
They would have mocked
and made fun of Him.
They would have called Him "King Of The Jews"
How terrible it would have been.
Listen my Brother and Sister,
This is not what could have been.
This actually happened
To the innocent Son of Man.
Jesus suffered and died
For all my terrible sin.
And for me to be forgiven,
I only have to believe in Him.
By the Grace of God I'm saved.
And to Heaven I will go.
Because Jesus suffered for me
So very long ago.
Jesus also died for you
On the old rugged cross.
So you may be saved
And your soul may not be lost.
Just believe in Jesus
He's God only Son
You will be forgiven
Your salvation battle is won.
