| "ONE GLORIOUS DAY" |
| I may never see tomorrow; I have no written guarantee And all the things that happened yesterday Still belong to history. I cannot predict the future, And I'll never change the past I only have this present moment; I must use it as my last. Each moment I must use wisely For it soon will pass away, And be lost forever As part of yesterday. I must have compassion, And help the fallen to their feet, Be a friend to all I meet, And make an empty life complete. I must make each moment precious For it soon shall pass away And I shall never be content, With things that might have been. All the unkind things I did today Will never be undone, And friends that I fail to win May never more be won. I may not have another chance, On my knees to pray, And Thank my Heavenly Father, For giving me this Glorious Day. Yes, I may not see tomorrow, But this day is my own, It is mine to use or cast aside, And the choice is mine alone. I've been given this Glorious Day, In the sunlite of His love, Where the dawning of tomorrow Will meet the dusk of yesterday. |
