| IN JESUS NAME. |
| Many times I sought the Lord, I pleaded night and day. To save the ones so dear to me, So faithfully and earnest I would pray. I pleaded, Lord, you promised, Please hear my prayer today. I repented and you saved me, But my house you have not saved. With tears I pleaded so often, But God did not grant my wish. Then I began to wonder why, Could I be asking Him amiss? My request I knew was in His will, This I knew for sure. His desire to save my loved ones, Was greater than mine by far. Each day I prayed, "O, please today, Before it is too late." If you would truly save my house, Dear Lord, why must I wait? Then one day I saw the light, How could I have been so blind; Was I trying to rush God's mighty plan, For my own peace of mind? Then I cried, "O Holy God, Thy will not mine be done. In Thine own way and Thine own time, And in the name of Thy Blessed Son." Selfishly I'd prayed before, And I had prayed in vain. But now I know God hears my prayer, For I truly pray IN JESUS NAME. |
