I Talked With The Lord
I'm crying to you again, Lord
Like a baby to its mother.
I'm bringing my burdens Lord,
I hate to be such a bother.

I know, compared to others Lord,
My burdens are really small.
I have no son fighting, Lord,
Over there on foreign soil.

We have a place to call home Lord,
A shelter from the cold and heat.
I've never heard my children crying,
Because they had nothing to eat.

And Lord, I'm so very grateful,
For your watch care every hour.
That me and my loved one live in peace,
Under your rule and power.

Forgive me for coming so often Lord,
Weeping at your feet.
But I know you understand Lord,
It's love that makes me weep.

I need your guiding hand Lord,
To keep me on the homeward way.
It seems I must depend on you Lord,
More and more each passing day.

I thank you for being so patient Lord,
I know you have others to hear.
You'll probably hear from me again today,
There'll be other burdens to bear.

I just can't bear them alone, Lord,
Am I bringing too many to Thee?
Should I try to bear them alone, Lord?
No, you said, "bring them to me."

Before I leave you for now, Lord,
I'd like to tell you again.
How I appreciate your love and kindness,
and your patience, Lord,   Amen.
