| January 19, 2005 Hola! Just a short note to let you all know that things are going fairly well but slow (red tape). That's normal. In fact, its cultural. But we are blessed daily in many ways to be serving here in Rio Dulce. We have some wonderful people who have been helping us at the clinic in Esmeralda. Linda and Paul sailed in on "Miramar" and have been working with us during team remote clinics, organizing the pharmacy, painting and cleaning, etc. God bless them. Mac is a new owner at Mario's Marina and a Physician's Assistant and has been working at the clinic every Tuesday and Thursday. What a blessing! Neal "Away II" helps with translating and is working on a computer chart program for the clinic. God bless Spanish speaking computer guys! The computer at the clinic was donated by Vine International and we thank them so much for the opportunity to modernize the clinic and make our work easier. Joe, a lab technician on "Tango" is also giving his time to the patients twice a week. God bless him and his family for sharing him with us. The most recent additions to our clinic staff are Lotte and Paulina from Holland. They are beautiful young women who love working with the patients and the patients love them. God is great! We are so blessed by our prayer and financial supporters in the United States. Without them we would not be able to continue the mission. Our churches Calvary Chapel Saint Petersburg, Calvary Chapel Gulf Beaches, Calvary Chapel Sarasota, FL, and Two Rivers Church in Knoxville, TN have been a constant blessing to us and the mission "Rayo de Esperanza" (Ray of Hope). Vine International has made it possible for the clinic to have more equipment and medicine in order to help more poor villagers in the Rio area. God bless Woody and "all y'all"!!! gota go for now--- be back tomorrow--- love for now--- to be continued.......... Karen |
