Robert D. Blough's Public History Hideaway
I am currently looking for employment in a Museum or Educational setting.  I studied at UW-Milwaukee in Public History/Museum Studies.  My primary area of interest is 20th Century U.S. history; particularly the Vietnam War, the New Deal, and Labor history.

The purpose of this site is to present some of the websites I have found to be helpful and that I feel improve human understanding of past and present tribulations through the effective presentation of the historical record to the general public.

Throughout history, each generation is forced to confront a major event or events which change the course of life as we know it.  For my generation these events were the war in Vietnam and the Civil Rights movement, for my parents it was the Great Depression and WWII, and for this generation it may well be our recently engaged war on Terrorism.  How these events are preserved by current, and presented to future, generations will determine how our actions are judged. We must be thorough and include as much information as possible so as to allow our descendants the ability to fairly judge our actions.

I intend to continuously modify this site as a source of links to a wide variety of web pages pertaining to professional organizations, archives, public presentations of historical events, and history as it is being made.  Comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged.  This site is completely educational simply providing a set of links to others with, what I deem to be, very useful information.
Thank you for taking a look.

Revisions:  I have added and rearranged a few news & opinion sites.  I also added some Radio Stations/Programs that can sooth the savage beast within.  Completely re-worked my Public History and General Research/Teaching Aids  pages.

I have taken my resume down, but I am still looking for a place to present history and the controversies surrounding our past in a public forum.
