Free Milk & Cheese on I-94 Dream
I dreamed that I was driving along I-94 somewhere between Chicago and Milwaukee, and I had just reached the Wisconsin border when I saw a pile-up ahead. I stopped, got out of my car, and saw some men in cow costumes (like the ones you see at Chick-Fil-A restaurants) passing out free milk and cheese to motorists. The cows were also wearing T-shirts that read “I ‘Heart’ Wisconsin,” similar to the famous “I ‘Heart’ New York” slogans that every other place tries to imitate, the “Heart” meaning “love,” of course. As one of the drivers explained to me, the state of Wisconsin was promoting itself as the Dairy State by having select citizens dress up as cows and pass out free dairy products at its state borders. And then, I saw two trucks painted in Green Bay Packers colors, and they had the Packers logo on the sides and back. When I saw the cows pass the dairy products from their trucks, that’s when I suddenly realized why the traffic was being backed up on the Interstate. Of course, I got my cheese and a glass of milk, and when I was done, I continued on my way. Just talking about this dream is making me crave for some of that delicious Wisconsin cheddar cheese, and I bet just reading about it is making you feel the same. 2007-06-10 16:34:43 GMT
