Just when hide was graduating costume school, he received a phone call from Yoshiki, the leader of an indies band called "X", asking hide if he wanted to join. As with some Jrockers, joining bands and meet ups with other members were usually dramatic, hide's was not. He answered the question with one word, "Fine". They then met face to face at a Live House. This was the change in hide's life.
X was a band formed by Yoshiki with his school friend, Toshi in 1982 but their first single, "I'll kill you" wasn't released until 1985. In February 1987, they were settled wiht the members: Yoshiki (Drums), Toshi (Vocal), hide and Pata (guitars), and Taiji (Bass). |
