'05 Yamaha TDM 900 "The Silver Bullet"
I have always been a fan of the TDM.
Lying across a tank is not my thing. On the TDM, you're sat up, much more my style. I came across this bike on Ebay, unregistered from a dealer, it didn't reach it's reserve. I phoned up to enquire about it and ended up riding it home.
This was the scene, a week later. My new bike, waiting outside the showroom for me. It's my first new machine since 1976, my first RD400. I was a bit nervous but all went well, I didn't drop it!
First accessories purchased were a full set of Givi luggage on a Wingrack 2
However I normally run with just the topbox fitted. Without the panniers, the bike is narrower, making it easier to ride through traffic.
For local riding I run with the stock screen, but for longer distance, I use an extended screen.
A great addition has been BMW handguards. Not very expensive to buy new from BMW and fairly easy to fit. They help keep the rain and the cold off my hands.
The best part is riding this bike. It is the best bike I have ever owned. I live in Hampshire, hence photo one. As I tour around, I'll collect county sign photo's, to chart my travels.
Wiltshire, just up the road
This will have to count for Devon. Taken on my way to Lands End.
These two cover Cornwall, left coming into Penzance and right at my destination, Lands End
This photo was taken at Buxton railway station, so this counts as Derbyshire for now.

The Dorset sign came about because I fancied a Mars Bar, as you do.
I ended up in Somerset, a hundred mile ride, fantastic.
Three counties from an end of March '07 ride.

Derbyshire, One of the highlights of my trip was riding through Buxton, Matlock and surrounding area on a Sunday. The scenery was fantastic and there were lots of bikes on the road.
This photo caused me problems as the bike was heavily loaded and parked on a downhill slope.
These are the counties visited. There are a few more I've been in with the bike, but have yet to get photo's of the signs. 27 counties so far
An end of June '08 ride took me to North Norfolk, 580 miles in the day, a sore arse
and four more county signs.
