FAMILY DAY AT Bin Majid Resort

EVENT: Family Day at Bin Majid Resort

The first family outing of the group was conducted on 15th February 2002 at the Bin Majid Resort, Ras Al Khaimah. The success of the project speaks for itself with the good response and enthusiam shown by our members - and not forgetting the scars and bruises left on our bodies (and the aches on Saturday morning !!).

Members left Dubai at 8.00 by special bus as well as personal transport - reaching the resort by 10.00 am with two stop overs for pickup. A special mention and thanks to the families who drove in from Abu Dhabi.
Proceedings commenced with the traditional 'spirits' and a dip in the pool. Added attractions was rugger in the beach, water polo 'in rugby style' and some interesting games for kids & ladies. The day ended with a keenly contested game of 'Bingo'.

Added glamour was the sumptuous BBQ Buffet laid out by a Sri Lankan chef (hailing from Hikkaduwa). We all left with the sounds of "school of our fathers" and memories of another fine re-union.
