RCTNOW, Incorporated Lan User Agreement

PLEASE READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE ACCESSING OR USING RCTNOW'S LAN SERVICE. BY ACCESSING OR USING RCTNOW'S LAN SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH BELOW. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS OR USE RCTNOW'S LAN SERVICE. RCTNOW MAY MODIFY THIS AGREEMENT AT ANY TIME, AND SUCH MODIFICATIONS SHALL BE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON POSTING OF THE MODIFIED AGREEMENT ON THE SITE. YOU AGREE TO REVIEW THE AGREEMENT PERIODICALLY TO BE AWARE OF SUCH MODIFICATIONS AND YOUR CONTINUED ACCESS OR USE OF RCTNOW'S LAN SERVICE SHALL BE DEEMED YOUR CONCLUSIVE ACCEPTANCE OF THE MODIFIED AGREEMENT. COMPUTER PARTS ARE DEFINED AS THE FOLLOWING: ANY ELECTRICAL, OR NON-ELECTRICAL DEVICE USING THE MOTHERBOARD("MAINBOARD, CIRCUTBOARD, BACKPLANE")

1. Gaming

RCTNOW Provides limited update versions for slotted games. They are served on a ("as is") basis, they are not modified in any way, shape, or form. This Service is only for a convience to gamers attending the event.

2. Fights

Physical fighting inside, or outside the Lan-Party's building is deemed a criminal act, and will be represented as such.

3. Stealing Equipment

Taking, or permanetly borrowing equipment from any other gamer(s) without the consent of the gamer(s), Is deemed a criminal act, and will be seen as such. RCTNOW is not responsible for any clothing, cables, mice, headphones, or any other equipement stolen.

4. Lost and Found

Lost computer parts(cable, mice, keyboards, pads, headphone, cases, monitors, or any other electrical, or non-electrical device that uses the motherboard to be used properly), can be handed into a RCTNOW official. A designated area will be assigned for any lost computer equipment.

5. Damaged equipment

RCTNOW is not responsible under any circumstances for damaged computer parts ("incidental, consequential, or direct damages"). Viruses, Trojan Horses, Worms, or any other manifested programs that cause damage are not the responsiblity of RCTNOW. Damage caused by RCTNOW directly will usually come with warnings before hand, such as a warning after the lan-party has officially closed its door; whereas RCTNOW may find it fit to turn off the power.

6. Over Night Stays

During multi-day events, RCTNOW isn't responsible for your computer equipment. Nor is RCTNOW responsible for rooms, space, or anyother places for sleeping. Its the sole responiblity of the person to find his rest.

6. Over Night Information

During Multi-day events, RCTNOW will post appropiate information about the event on their geocities.com/rctnow webpage leading up and on the day of the event. RCTNOW is also not solely responsible for providing food, drinks, or any other consumables

7. Servers

The computer servers are NOT meant for anyone that isn't an RCTNOW Official to repair, fix, install software, install hardware, use the input devices, or use any output devices that may be connected on the server(s)' motherboard. Users that are caught doing so will be asked to leave the event.

8. Cheating

Using any modifications, bugs, patches, or any other method to edit game stats ("infinite health, Infinite armor, God Mode, Infinite ammo, or any otherplayer status that would give one player a higher advantage then everyone else") is not allowed. Any Cheats must be server side, and effect all players giving everyone the same modifications at all times.

Cheating DURING A TOURNAMENT IS A BANNABLE OFFENSE, the player that has cheated during the tournament (no matter how far up the tournament ladder, age, sex, race, religion, money). see 10 (bannable offenses).

9. When parties end

RCTNOW officials may choose to extend or shorten the length of playing time when felt needed. At the same time, they can also end the rest of the events when needed without warning. However, when users don't exit the place of gaming fast enough; certain measures might be taken to guantee the lan-party has ended; example: Turning off the power to all the computers. See article 5 (Damaged Equipment).

10. Bannable Offenses

At any time a player becomes banned, the player will be addressed formally by the LAN organizers. The player's address and name MUST be taken. The offender doesn't have a choice. If the information is found to be bogus or invalid, or the player resists, law enforcement may be used. Cash Refunds will not be given.

1. Cheating during a tournament. 1ST time, the player is verbally warned. 2ND time, the player is banned for the remainder of the tourney.
2. Stealing ANY equipment of any value is a criminal act, and will be handled appropriately. However, the victim may decide to press charges. This is solely up the person that had his or her equipement stolen. RCTNOW is not obligated to make his/her choice.
