Parachute Trooper :
Back to Index :
A great little toy, you can drop parachutes, or drop bombs like bits of balsa.
I've never dropped a parachute & caught it on the same flight,
Been close though.........about 5 feet away.
A couple of times other people will catch it but only if aimed spot on.
REALLY FUNNY.
This is my trooper,
He had to lose his arms to fit into the bomb-bay.
This guy's had 4 flights & still has'nt quit his job...!!
A top view of the Bomb-bay,
It measures about 3x2x.5 inches. Weighs <10grms.
It simply plugs into your recievers throttle.
Use like a normal trottle,
Closed is closed, Open is open...
Just to give you some scale,
The trooper comes in a pack of 3 so they last a few flights before losing 'em.
This is before covering & glueing.
You need a mini size servo & a mini view-cam tape cassette box.
Glue the servo so it is only attached to the
base of the box & not the door.
Then glue the servo arm to the
door only.
Simple to align it all, look at the photo on the left.
Use you trim on the "throttle" control to close the door (not to tight).
Set the trim so the servo is silent not buzzing.
It is very important to cut a few holes in the cassette box for the servo screw extension to slot in.
This makes for a much stonger bomb-bay.
