Not Rocket Science but Meteorology ![]()
Let me say I started my day yesterday by spilling orange juice on my self in the AM and missing my appointment at the Coumadin clinic. The weather forecast yesterday was for temps in the 80 s and rain/thunderstorms later in the day. Betsy and I were planning to attend the Yiddishe Cup Klezmer Band at the free concert up in University Heights at 7 PM on the Middle School lawn. We arrived about 6:50 PM and it was raining lightly, with heavy clouds looking as it will pour soon. We figured they would move inside the building, as the concert did we went to earlier in the year. The Swing Time Band saw it was going to rain and moved in before it rained. As we pulled in we didn't bring our lawn chairs thinking they would be going in shortly. Nope! They were setting up. So we went back to the car to get stuff. First thing was I dropped a can of pop that was in the car which fell all of two feet and burst like a water balloon! Betsy wanted to leave, but I was in a positive thinking mood,so I kept thinking "Move inside" finally after about 10 min of milling about and Betsy getting more put out with me they announced they were moving inside and would set up in about ten-fifteen minutes. We went back to the car to put away the wet met and the lawn chair. We also picked up my umbrella. On the way back to the building my umbrella gave up the ghost( it was a few years old). But we got inside found good seats and had a fun time. Betsy even got to dance during the "Stretch and Kvetch" So we had a good time, got our Klodike bar( it was last concert of the season and an "ice cream social") and left. We saw two rabbits , Betsy and our totem animal. 2005-08-19 15:28:11 GMT
