Good Morning !

Betsy is off to church, and I am catching up on internet stuff. We went to the Birthday Celebration for the" SS William G. Mather" the freighter permanently at berth in Cleveland, now an 80 year old ship. As we have a somewhat intimate relationship with the old girl (yes, the Mather is still a "she" by tradition) as she has seen us naked, we thought we'd drop in for the party and a concert by one of my favorite mid-western folk singers, Lee Murdock, who specializes in Great Lakes  sea stories and songs. We also got to visit the brig "Niagara", a restoration/replica of Perry's ship that helped win the Battle of Lake Erie back in the War of 1812.. I plan on posting photos in My Yahoo Photos and Flicker of both events. Considering our camera case is MIA, our battery died and we had no spares we did pretty well. I swapped out a couple of Ray-O-Vac AA's from a flashlight and we were in business.

The weather was fantastic, and the venue for the concert was great, the main deck of the Mather.  Even the occasional interuption by a helicopter, plane, or boat horn from the Good Time 3 , just added to the light hearted atmosphere of an outside live music concert.

As a footnote our mud dauber made a second long tube nest next to the first one.
