How It Came To Be
The Rotary Club of Naga East made its official debut on March 3, 1978 upon receiving its charter. The charter brought with it official recognition from Rotary International of the club�s existence and its official acceptance into the international and wonderful world of Rotary.
The awarding of the charter rewarded six months of work by twenty-five professionals who became the charter members of the club. In July 1977 these members started attending regular weekly meetings at the Fiesta Hotel. They underwent orientation in the four avenues of Rotary service. They attended meetings and fellowship sessions offered by the sponsoring club, the Rotary Club of Naga. The charter members attended local and regional District information conferences and institutes to also learn more about Rotary and its avenues of service.
The desire to be of service to others and a camaraderie born of many hours of fellowship unite the Rotarians of Naga East as they look forward to the many years ahead.
