It has begun. The final stages of this long process. I received a call this morning saying that everything from my medical is done and back. All they need now is to have my PARE test re-done. I have tried to get one done on the Island but the only place that is doing it is in Nanaimo and they don't have a date yet. So I am heading over to Vancouver on Sunday. They do the testing at the YMCA in Vancouver every Sunday and Tuesday. Once the RCMP receives the PARE notice I will get clearance for the final medical. That will just involve 45 min at a local doctor. Then I am done the medical portion.
This process has a lot of down time followed by spirts of action.
I also got a call yesterday from the local field investigator. He said that he was starting the field investigation and wanted to stop by for a visit. He came by today at 10 and was here for an hour. He said that he had already talked to one of my neighbors and had meetings set up for three other people on my contact list today. I got a call from two of them so far saying that they have had a visit. He said that he expects to be done his portion by this weekend. This is all very exciting. That just leaves 2 people on the mainland and 2 people in Alberta and I am done this whole process. I could be in Depot as early as October. wow . |
