This is not the post I was hoping for today.. I seem to have the "bad luck" file or something.         I got a call yesterday from the recruiting office. Wow this was it I was going ya hoooo...   Much to my disappointment the recruiting staff member said that they had a small problem. First was they didn't have my first aid certificate. That's the 2nd time they have lost it.. The 2nd thing is it seems that they also didn't have a residence check from when I lived in Lloydminster Sask..   She said that she would phone the background investigator in Sask and see what she could find out.. WHAT A PAIN!!!!!!   I phoned her today to hoping to get some answers. I had faxed a copy of my first aid certificate (again) and I wanted to know what she had found out from the Sask investigator. She said that she told him to rush my file but that it might take a few days.  That pretty much cancels out my leaving this weekend.. or this year for that matter. She did offer up a little bit of good news. They were trying to get the troops for January filled before Christmas. She said that (if all goes well)  I could get a months notice. Which is apparently rare for the Vancouver office. Little consolation as I was totally prepared to leave on Saturday.

Well at least I save the $800 Christmas airline ticket home.
