| Now that things have settled down a bit and the stress level has dropped a notch or two I can let you know what's going on. I have been in contact with Depot in Regina. They have given me some online courses to complete. I have a month to do them and obtain an 80% mark. The first course is radio communications. I have to learn the phonetic alphabet ( alpha, bravo, charlie, delta, etc. etc.) and all 62 ten codes. 10-4 good buddy. That is an easy one every one knows but I have to learn all of them like 10-22 ( disregard) and 10-8 and so on and so on. The second course is A LOT of reading. Its the RCMP vision and plan for the future. Wow, it really seems to be coming together. As far as I know, none of my contacts have been contacted yet but I'm sure I will hear from them as soon as that happens. I have increased my workouts and I'm running quite a bit. Right now I'm running up to 5km at a time about 3 times a week. My goal is just to increase my speed. In the next couple of weeks I will up the distance. I am following a running program set out in the book "Running Start to Finish" available at "The running room" across Canada. I have also signed up for my typing certificate on Sept. 4th at Camosun College in Victoria. Well that's all the new news I have right now. If I hear anything new I will post it. |
