President's Message by Pres. Dante Verano

"INAUGURAL MESSAGE"

Thank you for the best gift that I received from you, the prestige and honor to be the 38th President of the Rotary Club of Marikina. Eighteen months ago I still remember my short acceptance speech immediately after my election, I promised you that I will do my best to live up to your expectation that I will see to it that this Club will remain as one of the strong and outstanding in the District. My experience in the past eleven Rotary years and your continued support, cooperation will serve as our tool to ensure in achieving such goal.

To ensure our success this Rotary Year with the RI Theme: "Sow the Seeds of Love", all of us helped in finalizing our plans and Objectives. We met several times in the past six months for this purpose, we had our planning session at Caliraya and to top it all we have three consecutive Club Assemblies last June 6, 13 and 20, 2002. Every member contributed so many ideas and suggestions in the Four Avenues of Service.

We had already planned what to do, now is the time to start doing what we have planned. As your president I wish these things to happen during my term:

  • To maintain the honor and prestige of our Club.
  • That all must enjoy the fellowship in our Club and must be happy in serving the less fortunate members of our society not only in our community but in other parts of the world.
  • To be able to give total support to our District Governor.
  • That after my term, I am still your friend.

Lastly, I can only promise to do my utmost in Leading our Club to still greater heights and with your kind understanding, full cooperation and unselfish support, I find no reason why we can fail in this undertaking, we can only succeed.

I love you all.
