The Rotary Club of Marikina joined the other seven Rotary Clubs in the zone in their first InterCity Meeting last September 19, 2000 held at the Skyline Riverbend Hotel wit His Excellency Fidel V. Ramos, former President of the Republic of the Philippines, as Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker.
Gov. Teddy Zamora delivered an inspirational message and City Mayor Bayani Fernando gave a short talk. The meeting was a big success gauging from the jam-packed attendance, lively open forum and presence of VIP speakers.
RC Marikina contributed the most number of delegates.
