With the cementing of the Marikina Rotary Youth Center's grounds done, formal blessing was held last November 16, 2000 coinciding with the Governor's Visitation. DG Teddy and Sps. Mely Zamora were guests of honor. The construction of this recreational and sports facilities was funded by the Children's Opportunities Grant under the Community Concern for Children. The area will be utilized for sports facilities which the youth can avail of to divert their minds away from drugs. This is in line with the Drug Abuse Prevention Program of the Club.
