The GSE Team from Brazil R.I. District 4660 was turned over to Zone 4 by the Rizal Zone last March 9, 2001. The group was composed of Gelso Luiz de Carli - Team Leader, Margit Buhring - English Teacher, Mauro Kowalczuk - Mechanical Engineer, Giovani Vilnei Rotta- Civil Engineer and Rodrigo Vicente - Lawyer.
Team Leader Gelzo stayed with Pres. Eric and his family for four days. Pres. Eric treated the team to a buffet dinner at Kamayan Restaurant after their tour of Lukban Hats Factory and target shooting at the Armscor Shooting Range. The following day, they spent the whole day at Kaliraya Lake.
Monday morning of March 12, they attended the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Marikina City Hall. They were introduced by Pres. Eric to the government employees of Marikina. After their courtesy call at the City Hall, they had a tour of Marikina City. They were later turned over to Pasig Zone.
