Despite heavy rains, the joint induction and turn-over ceremonies of the Marikina Zone was held last July 1st at Camp Aguinaldo Officers Clubhouse, Quezon City.
A total of 77 Rotarians and Spouses from the Rotary Club of Marikina attended the said affair. Guest speaker and inducting officer was District Governor Teddy Zamora. It was a memorable day for Gov. Teddy as he was celebrating his birthday that same day. The Presidents of the 8 clubs of the Marikina Zone gifted him with a large portrait and a cake with the singing of the birthday song from the audience as background.
Highlight of the affair was the induction of the incoming presidents and officers of the eight Rotary Clubs preceded by the induction of the officers of the Inner Wheel Club of Marikina and Spouses Association of Marikina.
It was a truly successful affair as most Rotarians and Spouses from RC Marikina remained in the dance floor until the party was over.
