January 25, 2001 was Ladies Night for the spouses and an exciting evening for both the Rotarians and spouses as a guest speaker has been invited to talk on E-commerce.
Gone were the days when you have to spend your precious time traveling from one place to another just to close a deal. During this computer age, we can transact business here or anywhere in this world without leaving our homes or offices. This is the world of E-commerce. Products you are selling or services you are offering can be advertised not only locally but also worldwide. Possible clients or buyers are the millions of surfers in the Internet. Earnings can far surpass your greatest expectations.
Now since there is a saying that "if your business is not hooked to E-commerce, most likely you'll soon be out of business", the Rotary Club of Marikina has invited a person knowledgeable to lecture on the mechanics of this trade. Mr. Chinkee Tan, a former movie actor who changed his profession to being a computer expert discussed E-commerce and Webpage designing including the monetary rewards.
Mr. Tan entertained questions from the Rotarians after the lecture.
