RC Marikina held its annual Student Leadership Awards at the Marikina Rotary Youth Center last February 22, 2001 with thirteen students coming from different schools in Marikina, San Mateo and Rodriguez participating.
The following are the winners:
1st Place - Bianca F. Fernandez (Infant Jesus Academy)
2nd Place - Kathreen Ann P. Lerma (Kostka School)
3rd Place - Jourdan Ferrick L. Dimatulac (Roosevelt College)
The winners received cash prizes and plaques were awarded during the club's weekly meeting.
Chairman ID Del de Guzman, Co-Chair Dir. Francis and Sec. Dindo made all the necessary preparations to insure the success of this endeavor. This contest is held to promote the development of potential leaders in the community and to publicly recognize the high degree of achievements made by high school student leaders and thereby motivate them to further excel and dignify their role in the school, community and the society.
