Operation "Tule"
As early as twelve o 'clock last April 18, 2001, the ground floor of the Marikina Rotary Youth Center was filled with mothers and fathers with their young sons who were scheduled to undergo circumcision. A total of fifty boys were pre-listed before the scheduled date however, the same number who were not listed also came with the hope that they could all be accommodated.
A team of Rotarian doctors which included Pres. Eric Ignacio, Sec. Dindo Santos, Chair Pidiong Navarro, Rtns. Fabi and Benjie, Baby Rtns. Val Barcinal and Doy Smith, Sps. Dr. Imelda and daughter Dr. Ellen Rose had their hands full till past five in the afternoon. It was a non-stop operation (taking time out only for a short merienda) which resulted that all the boys finishing with a smile.
Also present, as doctors' aides were IP Tony Fidelino, PS XC Alikpala, PD George Ty, Rtn. Manolo Favis, Sps. Lydia Ignacio and Noemi Verano.
