Sunshine District SEARCH AND RESCUE Camporee The camporee will be held tentatively on May 14-15 2004 at Camp Robledo, NM. All troops in the Sunshine and Polaris Districts are invited.
COST: As of April 7th is $7.50 per scout, to cover camp entrance fee, insurance, awards, and program materials.
REGISTRATION: A form will be emailed and handed out at the next roundtable, these will be due at the council office no later than May 7th.
WATER: We are in the process of attaining a water trailer on site for our use. We still recommend that troops be responsible for their own water needs as much as possible.
FIRES: Campfires are permissible on site. Gas cook stoves are highly recommended.
MEALS: Each troop is responsible for meal preparation and cleanup

Radio Direction Finding
Field First Aid
Injured Person Evacuation
Complex Map and Compass
Survival Shelter Construction
Fire by Friction Techniques

9:00AM Classes (Patrols rotate as they complete each class)

1:00PM-4:00PM Competitions over classes
4:00PM-7:15PM Free Time and Dinner (cooking contest????)
7:15PM-9:00PM Closing Campfire and Awards
Registration, guide services, camp inspection, and the campfire hosts will be the Las Cruces Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol, and the Tortugas Chapter of the Order of the Arrow. All units are free to depart after the closing campfire, but are welcome to spend the night out and depart on Sunday Morning.
