Fincher sparks Lady Bulldogs

McDONOUGH — The Rockdale girls cross country team recorded its third 
first-place finish of the season on Wednesday at Union Grove as Carys 
Fincher broke her own course record with a time of 22:10.
Fincher originally set the course record of 22:15 on Sept. 10 during 
a dual meet vs. the Wolverines.
Julie Leber, Cheryl Brantley and Vanessa Cerda also recorded their 
personal best times to help the Lady ’Dogs run past Union Grove.
The Rockdale boys finished second behind Union Grove, which is ranked 
No 8. in Class AA. 
Rockdale’s Cody Leblanc finished third overall, while Taylor Boggus, 
Andre Russell, James Whitmire, Amin Makhani, Salmon Makhani, Brandon 
Givens, Shawn Hyde and James Folk.
Both Bulldog squads will compete Wednesday in the Winder-Barrow 
Invitational.
