Thr R.C. Hinsdale Library Leaders are students in the fourth and fifth grades who are responsible, dependable, respectful, interested in learning more about the library, able to follow directions, and passing all subjects. Library Leaders are chosen during the first six weeks of school based on their written applications and recommendations of their teachers.
Some of the duties of a Library Leader are helping to prepare materials for use in the Library Media Center, library errands around the school, organizing and alphabetizing, care of library shelves and materials, and assistance during the book fair.
The purpose of the R.C. Hinsdale Library Leaders program is to support our school district's goal to ensure that  students participate in at least one activity providing a meaningful connection to school beyond the regular classroom.
