Thanks to all IGS Instructors, Staffers and Fellow Students for the terrific week of Music
and Merriment at Santa Cruz!
As promised, "an unforgettable creative week of learning and round-the-clock jamming
with new friends." Having never been to a guitar camp or workshop before, I
really didn't know what to expect. Way beyond anything I could have imagined.
Learned more about playing music in 7 days than in the last 7 years. And met a lot
of great people too! My only regrets are that I couldn't take every class and
workshop, sit in on every jam, and get a chance to know everyone better. We had some
truly amazing experiences, and I also heard others tell stories and describe jams that
spanned the inspired to the mystical. I'm looking forward to returning
to IGS next year, wherever it's held. After an entire week of studying and
playing guitar, returning to the 'real world' was a bit of a shock. But the lessons
and memories of IGS Santa Cruz 2000 will fill my head and keep me occupied for the months
to come. In the meantime, this web page includes photographs and memories to share
with all IGS Alumni. Until we meet again, keep on jammin!
