Sea Trials was the first time the crew took the ship out to the open sea to see how she handled and to make sure that all the equipment works the way the shipyard said it would work. It was my first time underway as part of a ship's crew and the first time I spent any appreciable amount of time away from Jackie since we were married. It's hard to believe we thought these four days out were an arduous ordeal. All these photos were taken by the ship's photo lab. I wasn't much into photography myself at the time, so I have nothing to show for this time other than what I snatched from the photo library before I transferred. Don't worry; there were plenty of copies left around, so I didn't rob the ship of its only precious copies.
