On April 3, I got the opportunity to shoot a news conference at Tokyo Dome in which the NFL announced the NFL Tokyo 2000 Preseason Game to be played Aug. 6, 2000, at the dome. Dallas Cowboy running back Emmit Smith was there to take questions about the game which will pit his team against the Atlanta Falcons. These were the six selections I sent to Stripes Central in Washington, D.C., where the paper is laid out. They chose the first picture in the bunch, although cropped down to just a mug of Emmit.
