"Making a Connection"
Equipment: LOMO LC-A Date: February 2001
This young lady waits for a train at Yokosuka-Chuo station and kills the time by contacting a friend on her cellular phone. My guess is she was making sure someone was waiting for her on the other end of the line (the train line that is). I shot this mainly for the patchwork of piping overhead, signaling some construction that will be taking place here, but the girl, alarmed by my sudden impromptu portrait, shyly walked away. Most Americans might have confronted me about snapping a picture, by luckily, that's not how they do it in Japan.
