After baby's first steps, the job is hardly over. Sister and mother have to keep baby on her own two feet, and that means two generations work together to help the next generation survive on its own. Maybe that's a little much for this simple scene, but the look of uncertainty on the child's face betrays a budding independence which will take root in a few short years.
