The ornate tombstones of Japan lie in contrast to their more conservative American counterparts, but they have character. For one thing, the aged stone compliments the light hues of the Cherry Blossoms behind it. It's almost like how a snowfall in a graveyard can make the place seem less inevitable. You're actually happy to be there for once.
