In Those Eyes

Soft swirling kaleidoscopes, a gaze of curiosity
Reflecting all of life - every soul held within
Held gently in his sight watching him watch
There but not quite there except for his eyes

As i look into those eyes - lost in their silence
As it feels as though all those eyes are on me
i watch them in awe - amazed they are there
i wonder what it is that i am meant here to see

Are they measuring me or just there to be seen
Is there meaning or just to acknowledge they exist
And to soon it is over - and the silent path clear
Leaving only a memory and a sense of wonder
The Web

Shimmering lines - silken spun carrying the energy of life
Interconnect all the lives that touch its glistening threads
Linking us all one to the other in a our happiness and strife
All so interconnected - so much a part required to the whole

The past reaches to the future shaping and molding it's course
Today embraces both yesterday and tomorrow in it's arms
The song of now builds on the melody of yesterday's source
And crescendos into the soaring score that will be tomorrow

And every life and soul is there, lends to the web it's energy
Touch the delicate tendrils it is built of and feel life's heartbeat
See how it connects all that is, was, and all that ever will be
And know the heart and soul of the web that is as old as time

As are all by the web of life connected when the feelings of one vibrate, those feelings resonate to all who still see and know the great web of life.
A life's story is written in the shades and colors of the love and kindness shared.
Did You Know?

Did you know when you touched the shadow I was hiding there?
Did you understand how scared I was - that I wished to run?
Could you feel how I trembled - see the terror in my soul?
Could you sense for how long I had hidden from the sun?

Could you see how afraid I was to find you there before me,
To realize that I had been seen, you'd seen me sitting there?
Did you know how alone I felt, not quite a part of the rest?
Could you see my silent tears - hear my silent cries fill the air?

Do you realize how much you've given me, helping me to stand?
That you gave me the light, and a voice, and a chance to be a part?
Can you see how much you have helped me to grow and become?
Will you accept as my thanks to you all my love and all my heart?
On the Winds of the Early Dawn and the Call of the New Born Day, the Beauty of the Love of the night before is reborn once more, gently, as I awaken in your arms - and all creation is at Peace.

I Chose This Time

I chose this time to leave when the sun warms the days
When the buds are all swollen with the promise of new life
When the breath of life returns joyously to all of the earth
When Spring affords an awakening from Winter's strife

I chose this time amid the joyful butterflies' dance
When if air is filled with the songbirds' trill of love
When the earth is fragrant with delicate first flowers
When new growth and new life flow from above

I chose this time so when you remember my leaving
You will remember a day filled with sunshine and light
You will recall a bright day filled with promise and hope
You will see a time filled with the promise of new life

I chose this time because I will always love you.
