Sighs

In the spaces between the words in the silence
Are the words that others seem not to hear
The words of a soul crying out to be seen
The words that tell of love, hope, and fear.

The quiet shy hi that asks do you see me
The no that pleads please hear me cry yes
The i'm fine that says i am in so much pain
The it's nothing that only wants to confess

We must learn to listen with more than our ears
To see we must look with more than our eyes
We must try to feel with more than our hands
Then we'll know what is in the whispering sighs
Silence

In the loud silence that lies betwween the words
In the dead stillness that roars out its pain
In the darkness that is void of light and life
I feel it reaching and I hear it call my name

I cry out from the stillness of my quiet place
Fighting the terror that rises in my soul
Seeking the ones who offer light and strength
Wondering will I ever on my own be whole

I wonder can no one else hear what I hear
The silence of so many lights so suddenly gone
Can they not feel the rending in life's fabric
Can they not feel the now silenced song

Am I alone, can no one else feel the silence
Do no others feel the darkness and the loss
So I sit , composed and quiet, put on a smile
Hide the fear and pain from the world at any cost
The Bowl

Hi, Green Eyes, do you see?
I've found us a ship to sail to sea!
Oh no, Gold Eyes, it's a hovercraft,
So we can touch the sky at last!

An olympic bobsled, a fast hydroplane,
A carnival teacup to drive you insane,
A million things for an afternoon's play,
As their imagination filled up their day.

And as the sun set and they came home to nap,
And after a bath from their  momma cat,
I'll retrieve my bowl from the patio chair
And go to the garden and see what is there.

But inside my 2 kittens and sweet momma cat,
Dreams of adventures from where the bowl sat,
Content that they went to such marvelous places
Sleep little ones with your sweet happy faces
The Magic

The world is filled with many wonders
So much beauty waiting to be seen
Magic waiting just to be discovered
Love and hope  wanting to have been

When no one any longer still believes
Then the last unicorn will cease to be
The pheonix from the ashes will not rise
And the future will be grim and bleak

So the keepers of the keys and the seekers
Strive to keep the alive the hope and light
Answering disbelief, racing against time
Working silently and out of others sight
